Lor1
Something like this maybe, using only announced acts plus Paul Weller, although I could see Skrillex and maybe one or two others being announced in decent slots. Friday: Main Stage: Biffy Clyro Ed Sheeran Ellie Goulding Bastille You Me at Six Manic Street Preachers Radio 1 Stage: Steve Angello Alesso King Tuts: Pixies Haim CHVRCHES Saturday: Main Stage: Calvin Harris Paolo Nutini Pharell Williams The 1975 James Radio 1 Stage: Elbow Rudimental Bombay Bicycle Club Twin Atlantic King Tuts: Ben Howard Sunday: Main Stage: Arctic Monkeys Paul Weller Jake Bugg Franz Fedinand Imagine Dragons Kaiser Chiefs Tame Impala Radio 1 Stage: Example Tinie Tempah King Tuts: Disclosure London Grammar
KeiranBanks
I was expecting White Lies to be announced. Any chance they could get added later?
CAMF111
I know they were tossed around previously, and much enjoyed last year but do you guys still think there is a chance Travis will be added to the line up? Also my flatmate would kill me if I didnt inqure about the likelyhood of the The Script playing (Which I think is highly unlikely). harryomatic
I still can't get my head round some of weird placements on the poster. London Grammar that high; Jake Bugg before Example; Imagine Dragons before Tinie Tempah. The only explanation I can think of is that these bands of the moment have been given prominent places on the poster to grab people's attention, whereas the bigger acts like Example and Tinie Tempah are a little bit out of the spotlight right now. However come the festival, we'll see them in the bigger slots. This also gives me hope that Ed Sheeran isn't a sub. I've got my fingers crossed for Twin Atlantic headlining Transmissions on Saturday night. Would make a nice alternative to Calvin, Elbow, and whoever headlines tuts. thetime
Where do you guys think Embrace and the Manics will play? Headline a smaller stage? Embrace doing an academy tour and manics doing a academy tour with the odd arena thrown in. Edited February 26, 2014 by thetime
harryomatic
Manics I think might be main stage middle of the day again, not sure about Embrace EDIT: from the poster, I could see Discloure headlining king tuts on sunday, with Kaiser Chiefs just below them. That Kaisers set would be brilliant in the tent. Edited February 26, 2014 by harryomatic
Muppetmark
Steve Angelo is surely a tuts headliner not a r1
Chiefski
Giving a sleep on it, I don't think it's that awful a lineup really, fair enough lack of 'headline' or attractive names but a lot of solid acts throughout each day. Going by other fests and bands touring there is a lot of potential there to come, Paul Weller, Suede, Lily Allen etc
eFestivals
Going by other fests and bands touring there is a lot of potential there to come, Paul Weller, Suede, Lily Allen etceh? All of those used up their potential years ago. Decades ago in one case.I do like how people slag off line-ups on the basis that their own musical interest stopped ten years or more ago. foolee
Haven't been on here since the announcement but I don't actually think the lineup is have bad, plenty to keep me happy and I honestly think Biffy Clyro, Calvin Harris and Arctic Monkeys is a better headlining set than Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers even though I'll only probably see Biffy. For me I'd like to catch Biffy, Pixies, You Me At Six, Manic Street Preachers, Haim, Bastille, Maximo Park, Pharrell, The Stranglers, James, Bombay, Twin Atlantic, We Are Scientists, Jake Bugg, Example, Franz, Kaiser Chiefs(good festival band) and Tame Impala which is brilliant for a first announcement. Kills every other UK festival undercard so far personally. I know there will be clashes but you've got to deal with that if you like many acts. Fezzy_buzzer
I really want courteeners. They are still a strong rumour. Do we think they will get announced at a later date or have I fucked it?
Doug85
im hoping that there is another announcement for inbetween nutini and harris on the saturday otherwise that is horrific. i knew harris would be back but the fact hes headlining is awful. suppose he sells tickets tho but hes a very weak headliner and if nutini is headlining the usual late spot ill go elsewhere. hopefully pharrell will headline the radio 1, even elbow would be better! TheGaffer
Tame Impala are absolutely incredible live, so I'm chuffed to bits with them playing, hope they get a decent sized crowd though. Got my ticket this morning because there's some bands that I've been wanting to see for ages playing, like Biffy, Chvrches and Franz Ferdinand. mrtourette
Was honestly so excited at 6.55 tonight thinking we were going to get the best T line up in years. After Biffy were announced I was sure Zane Lowe was going to give us an Arcade Fire with The Prodigy closing the Main Stage on the Saturday, I honestly couldn't believe my ears when he announced Calvin Harris AGAIN!!! Is Geoff and him having some sort of affair we all don't know about? The guy is terrible, he plays the same DJ set his whole tour and gets to headline Music Festivals? Unreal. There are few decent bands so far, Pixies, MSP, Tame Impala, Disclosure, James but nowhere near enough to see me part with over £200.So disappointed again with their announcement, really hoping with a good few decent bands added before July. mrtourette
The line-up is pretty crappy but not very surprising. Evey year due to the right timing and little local competition they manage to pick up some nuggets - last year was Kraftwerk, FIDLAR and MBV, this year Pixies, We Are Scientists and Manics (as much as I hate them they're a good booking) - but the rest is fairly standard. James and Inspirals will be good but that early-nineties indie tends to float around the lower stages of T and V fairly regularly. TheGaffer
I'm pretty disappointed in the new bands this year. Last year we got new acts like PEACE, Palma Violets, Peace, Chvrches, The Strypes and Fidlar. I was hoping to get some acts like Royal Blood, Wolf Alice and Circa Waves but Geoff has let me down in that area. Here's hoping they announce the good new bands later on! frankblack
The Friday looks great, but I'd like some rockier bands added to the bill for Saturday and Sunday to get the mix a bit better for me. Still hopeful that bands such as Mogwai will be added when they have finished their tours next month.

harryomatic
Mogwai as a Tuts headliner on Saturday? That's the only big spot I feel could still be filled, as at the moment to me it looks like: Calvin Harris Paolo Nutini Pharrell Williams Ben Howard The 1975 James Elbow Rudimental Twin Atlantic XXXXX Bombay Bicycle Club John Newman Katy B
