Rumour - Beady Eye

Not going to link it as ill get in trouble with fellow Liverpool people, but a particular newspaper reckons beady eye are doing a slot this weekend. Gordon smart says he 'knows the day and stage of their midday set' sounds like the other stage one.

If true, ill be happy but I'm sure this would give most of you a good excuse to stay in bed Friday morning cue 'Liam's a twat' 'beady eye are shit' comments....

Nice one!

Liam does come across as a bit of a knob but I do like the music he has been involved with. I was planning to check out the opening act on Other Stage but will deffo do now.

Gordon Smart is also a bit of a tool but he does seem to get his rumours correct. He was first to announce the Stone Roses reunion so I'm pretty confident about this one.

Quality, saw them at the Ritz in Manchester last week, musically they were spot on and the new album sounded great live. Played Morning Glory and Rock n Roll Start as well which took the roof off. Other Stage on Friday it is then?

Considering the festival has always had a pretty awful relationship with both Liam and Noel, I can't see either of them doing anything special at G.

That story makes no sense. There is a chunk missing. Still a better alternative to a daytime slot for AFP, or any slot for that matter.

I know he plays bass rather than guitar but it never ceases to bewilder me that a band including Andy Bell can be so plodding and unimaginative.

I don't think the rest of them could cope with "Leave Them All Behind" or "Birdman", though. shame, as I'd love to hear all the great Ride songs live again.

"I Don't Know Where It Comes From" is a perfect rip-off of "You Can't Always Get What You Want"- would be perfect to hear that someowhere over the weekend.

But even Hurricane #1 had some invention and managed to keep up with him, and they weren't a particulalrly talented bunch. Beady Eye would kill for a song like Rising Sign.

In fact does Andy Bell play bass or guitar with Beady Eye? I assumed it was bass like Oasis, if he's moved back to guitar then that makes their drudgery even harder to excuse.
