Stoke. Always had a fondness for Liverpool whilst stoke were in the lower leagues, don't like how they have handled the Suarez saga over the last couple of seasons though.

Newcastle. 2nd team is WBA (who I've seen as many times actually).

I tend to have favourites amongst other teams in phases. Used to have a bit of a fondness for Liverpool but that's gone in recent years as I find Rodgers a cock and their fans a bit insufferable. Mostly I like teams who play good football and dislike teams who win playing ugly football. I know it'll be unpopular on here as they've got more fans here than anyone but Man U, but West Ham have really pissed me off the past few years (and not just under Big Sam).

If fulham are ever going to show any fight for survival, this is the week it should happen.

They got in a few players right at the end of the window, signed too late to play last weekend. I don't have a clue how good any of them might be, but I guess they were bought to try and make the difference.

So ... Liverpool v Arsenal ... more than anything else from the game, I want a crackin' match. Fingers crossed.

The standard in the Championship up here isn't good. Some decent players usually appear each season but on the whole it's not great.

It's not pleasant seeing bus loads of folk leaving Greenock to go and watch Rangers and Celtic and every town and city in Scotland has that problem.

Well that's an interesting lineup we've got. Santon in midfield, I guess as a winger? Seems very attacking for playing at Stamford Bridge to me but I guess it's a matter of which players we have available.

The quality in the Premier is actually naw bad. Some cracking teams this season. Dundee United, Aberdeen, Motherwell have all been great to watch. Even today Aberdeen have been terrific against Celtic and might well pap them out of the cup. The game between Inverness and Hearts last week was a joy to watch from the start of the second half.

At the end of the day, we're a small country and in a money driven sport, our one/two team league is only going to get limited press. Given this, things are actually naw bad. Attendances are up, cup games are generally fantastic and many of the live TV games this season have been a great advert for our game.

Wasn't Dean Shiels shortlisted for SPL player of the year a couple of seasons ago? He couldn't get in Donny's team in the Championship the season before that.

Dean Shiels has always been horribly overrated up here. He played well, but no better than many players of that ilk at the time. Bizarre decision to have him in the shortlist.

Great point for stoke today, 4 points from united at home and saints away is good going. I think we should be fine, survival wise. I think it will be three of west brom, Fulham, Cardiff, Norwich.

Big Sam will keep west ham up and pulis will keep palace up say what you like about both of them but they are great in a relegation battle. I worry a little for Swansea but think they have the quality to stay up.
