I stayed and it took an hour to get my tickets! still it was nice to catch up with the neighbours and I just wanted that ticket in my hand.

I queued for an hour as well. Didn't know the people near me though so played Bookworm on my phone and checked ebay watch list. The new masts are up so I got a signal - hooray!

I could not agree more. The festival is foisted on some folk and I have no issue if they want to make a financial gain through that. Fair play to them.

I just found it unfair that on their listing they had said they were looking for around £600 for them. As has been said they had the option to take the cash, instead they think fleecing needy/desperate punters is a better idea.

Sorry if I offended anyone, and of course I'm grateful that we all get to go down and enjoy the best festival around in these residents back yard, maybe if they want to punt their tickets over the odds they can, but it's not fair in my opinion.

It's wrong, but as many have said, they get affected for weeks as a result, and during the festival the sound polution must be dreadful, and certainly going on through to 3-4am can't help locals who have work the next morning. So i can have some empathy, however, asking for what £400+ per ticket is a bit of a joke, i mean the festival could have been anywhere, just so happens to be your village, theres honest hard working people who simply can't afford to be scalped like that!

I really can't begrudge them this, they're hurting absolutely nobody, they allow the festival to continue. The attitude of some people on here to tickets being sold on is ludicrous, remember the guy who won a comp ticket and offered it for face value? Get a bloody grip.

Wonder how it works/they are allocated. Could everyone on e-festivals chip in and buy a house and list us all as residents. Get 500 of us to chip in a few hundred quid - free tickets for life.

(Bagsy the bed in the main bedroom as it was my idea). First come first served for the other bedrooms, then floor space in the bedrooms, then living rooms etc etc. Last one's sleeping in the outside toilet!

Its not exactly the crime of the century, is it? Anyway it looks like its been taken off eBay so all those self rightious whingers who wanted the 'scumbag' taken out have got their wish.

Either that or he's closed the auction early himself and done a deal outside eBay, direct with a buyer. That way he won't even be paying his eBay fees. So that's even more profit for him!

it's not touting. these tickets aren't available for general sale - so all the people getting on their high horses about it "taking tickets from genuine fans and people who can't afford tout prices" - nonsense. Noone is missing out on these tickets, but a local is getting what makes them happy and what makes the festival possible
