dan05delaney
he was touring with a band in 2010 and i thought he was great, remixing his songs with rock riffs was pretty fresh... but i saw him a week or so back supporting muse and he's back with a dj and a hype man and was utterly terrible. CaledonianGonzo
If The Beatles could draft in a sub to tour Oz and NZ when Ringo was out of commission then I'm sure this lot could probably manage. All they need is a decent session man - ,ost people wouldn't know him from Adam.

siblin
How about if they moved The XX to the Pyramid? Shunting Pumpkins up the bill.
Riggins
I doubt they'll play without him, it'll be massive for him as well as them and I'm sure Eavis will offer them next year instead. Luckily he's proverbially minted so should have the best care available to him to get better. Seen some mentioning QOTSA, surely a possibility? GlastoSimon
So many talented session musicians around, he'll be easily replaced. If anything, maybe they've cancelled these next few gigs to give them time to allow session musicians to rehearse the songs with them. Until they cancel the rest of the US dates, we can stop the speculation. For all those thinking they'd get somebody decent in to replace them if they did drop out, you're all mental. Blur? Kasabian? Radiohead? Daft bloody Punk? It'd be somebody being pushed up, just as Dizzee almost was in 2010. Matt42
I'd love it, don't get my hopes up but it won't happen! Well I mean they are big enough, new album out, actively touring, wouldn't be THAT expensive. Makes sense.

zero000
I cant recall any band (either at Glasto or otherwise) doing a show without a key band member. Anybody think of such an instance?

Zoo Music Girl
The XX arent good/big/popular enough to headline the other stage, let alone the pyramid.
mrtourette
They could easily get a techie or roadie to stand in. Yeah they like to rotate roles and swap instruments, it just means that for one gig they wouldn't be able to do it as much. The question is whether they's want to; would they take on their biggest gig to date (possibly ever) without one of their members, especially if they got offered next year instead? CaledonianGonzo
Ringo was just a drummer though, and not a very good one. Sounds like this bloke is a lot more integral.
vardas
I still have fingers crossed Mumford and Sons are still able to play. Saw them at 2011 Glastonbury and they were amazing.
