Wanted a Swindon, but it went before my payment processed ! Grrrrrr, managed to bag a Cambridge one, which only opened up after the others had sold out....means a bit of a drive to drop someone off there though ! Hardly saving the environment then, and i suspect many more people are travelling a fair way to get to a coach, Sadly we wil have to drop off the opposite direction to where we live, just for the coach to drive back past our home town !!

Oh its not a problem thats for sure, well not for me, I have a standard ticket ;-) Was just trying to see how far up the country i could send someone else....Was tempted to book an Edinburgh for them, that would have served them right for not being on the ball earlier.....

I agree with you though, I would have driven most places just to get the coach...

That's brilliant someone has to drive from Swindon to Cambridge to get on a bus and travel back the way they came

Now that shows the lengths people will go to to get their hands on those golden tickets!

I assume you will only get tickets when you get on the bus in Cambrdige? I assume you wont have to get on the bus back to Cambridge though and can thumb a lift to Swindon, or wherever

Respect!

Yes tickets are given out mid journey...Its not for me but a friend who will get a lift up to Cambridge the night before stay overnight, and then get the coach down. Tad annoying that it requires more pollution to go via this green route, but hey ho. Maybe a better answer would be to restrict the number of car parking passes if they were really keen to be environmentally friendly so that people have to car share ?? But oh no that mean lost revenues ;-( Our mate would have travelled with us so no extra journey required, but now there will be...

Like you said though, big respect for the effort, although i suspect most of us would drive to the end of the earth to get a ticket if thats what it takes !

It's nothing to do with being 'green' really, it's about limiting the number of vehicles in the area. 2009 showed that the local (country roads) are currently running at capacity and any increase would cause problems not only for festival goers but also for locals. Restricting the number of car parking spaces would probably not work either as local landowners would open up car parks and no doubt many would try to find places to park in the surrounding villages and country lanes which would cause more problems.

It's annoying to have to be forced I to the coach option but I can see why they do it.

    • I saw that the payment method is contactless wristbands - I understand you collect them at the festival site and can top them up there as well? Yes, there are top up points, keep the recepe if you want to withdraw the money in the end   How much does food and drink usually cost at the festival? We would like to know how much money we should prepare for the festival. Beer, Wine etc. 5€, Gin tonic, Whishkey Cola were 6-6.5€, food 10€    Is there a bus from the festival site to the city center? And are there any stops along the way? No offical info yet, but ussualy there are free festival buses from Ljubljanica to festival site, with few stops on the way. Nice to get to the festival but crowded from festival back to the city.   Where is the best place to find an Uber/Bolt to return from the festival site? Petrine ulica   Are there any shaded areas to take a break from the strong sun? Yes, i think there is some.
