It has worked for me in years gone by. The only year I took any wet weather gear was 2011, because it was clear it was going to be needed. This year I am confident that if we do get a shower here and there it would be a welcome cool down, or sheltering in a tent/bar at the worst.

As a long time lurker and first time poster, and as a surviver of '98 and 2007 and a wax lyricaler of 2000 and 2010, I just want to say: I don't think I can make it through the next days without having some kind of breakdown.

Thank you for listening.

Currently on a boat on the Thames in Reading and the weather is lovely.

Giving me massive hope for next week coupled with the info we've had today :)

Me neither -- but hard to know why.

It it rains I'm gonna go, and I'm gonna enjoy myself.

It its sunny I'm gonna go, and I'm gonna enjoy myself.

So why oh why oh why I am checking this thread so often?

So if the predicted good weather holds, is it a victory for science or faith?

incidently earlier this week, we were predicted heavy rain for today. Even this morning they predicted cloud and 14 degrees. In actual fact it's sunny, hot and blue skies!
