i was wondering why we in the rest of the UK don't get a vote on Scottish independence. it does affect us too.

Because they don't want to end up with the very difficult possibility of Everyone in Scotland voting Yes and being out voted by the rest of the UK. The simple fact is that if one country democratically decided that it wanted to leave the union then it could. The same is true for all countries in the union.

I popped to this in 2011 but found that people were all stood randomly around chatting about all random subjects and I found it very disconcerting to decide which group I should join in with.

This year, it would be very helpful if each group could hold a sign up that states what thread is being discussed and if its a hot topic or not. Then I can avoid the weather, rugby and other such boring threads and join in on the more meaningful ones like will Daft Punk and Prince be playing this year.
