Husband and I gave up and got seperate ones. I'd agree with this, and would also recommend a sleeping pod than the old rather restricting type sleeping bags. Then again, if you want to have a shag and sleep together in a happy dreamy post-coital slumber, then maybe a double sleeping bag would be just the ticket. Green.flash
Although they sound romantic I wouldn't bother with a double sleeping bag. Imagine fighting for the duvet but with no way out, more wrestling than sleeping. And someone's always on the zip. The wife loves it though. It keeps her warm. Just invested in an Outwell Earth 3 man tent, not cheap but looks decent quality.

We have two single sleeping bags that zip together as a double, tried it once, we now have two single sleeping bags that can zip together but never will. A short list of why not, zips, temperature, independent movement, the need to urinate, legs, arms, any other limbs. Take any issues that you may have sharing a double bed and duvet and add zips, but not in a good way.

SG87
This is not a bad deal considering all of the stuff you get. The only downside is the big clumsy bag you'd need to carry http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/321598923538?_mwBanner=1 the tent is from Halfords by the way, but the website was playing up so I found a link from eBay for it Edited May 1, 2017 by SG87

I was thinking that the big double ones would be a little less awkward.

Gucci Piggy
Anyone know of any decent deals on a 3-ish man tent? In 2015 I bought this one which I think I actually found through this thread (at the time I think the usual price was £90 and I bought it half price at £45). Was perfect but I unfortunately left my poles by accident last year and struggled to buy replacement poles for it. https://m.millets.co.uk/product/green-eurohike-avon-deluxe-tent/162607/ It's only for me but I like to have a bit of space in there. Edit: Just Googled the tent to see if I could find it anywhere for a decent price and Google threw up the eFests thread where the half price deal was posted. So yeah I did get it for £45 that year. This is a great tent, used it the past few years but there's more of us this year so had to get another. I bought the red version last week from Millet Sports - £45! https://www.milletsports.co.uk/outdoor/equipment/tents/ Oddly, if you want it in green it is double the price! alien
What hiking trousers do people wear? Anyone know of any decent yet still cheap ones. I've always worn jeans but I can't hack it anymore, need something more comfortable and quick drying. Not that its gonna rain this year though. The Quechua ones in Decathlon seem ok for glasto, but none of them fit me right. Weird Extra-small/small and medium/large sizing.

I use proper M65 trousers, which have studs for the flaps rather than the buttons that many others that claim to be M65 trousers do. But then they're heavier than some of the more lightweight options. There's plenty of choice out there with combats, including ones that can have the legs zip off. The pockets are dead handy. I've got a pair of British army surplus combats, but i generally use them for around the campsite. If I'm off to a stage or anywhere with tight large crowds, I prefer a slimmer fit. I suppose I feel it streamlines me for moving through crowds and avoiding getting caught on things (which seems to happen to me a lot if i wear baggier). In the end I went for two pairs of Craghoppers Kiwi Pro Stretch Trousers (which are reduced by almost 50% here in-case anyone fancies them): http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/Craghoppers_Mens_Kiwi_Pro_Stretch_Trousers_Regular_Leg/?SelectedItem=686073 These haven't arrived yet though, if anyone's interested I can say how they fit etc when they do.
