Will this years headliners be as good as 2011!

So potentially they are

Arctic Monkeys - The Rolling Stones - Mumford & Sons

2011 was

U2 - Coldplay - Beyonce

The rolling stones are obviously the U2 act of last time, similar but rolling stones are much bigger!

I'd say Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay are the same sort of booking, (not saying they are similar) but they are the in the same category of booking.

Can't really compare mumford & sons and beyonce really, there's no Beyonce like act this year, which is annoying because I think we could use one personally.

For me or for the festival? Wouldn't have seen any of the 2011 headliners, and would see Arctic Monkeys so already better for me this year.

For the festival U2 - Coldplay - Beyonce is hard to beat, but then so are the Rolling Stones and Arctic Monkeys. Relies on what the third is I think.

Coldplay and U2 are both toss, Beyonce puts on a good pop show but is she what you really want out of a Pyramid headliner? I enjoyed the show on the telly and would probably have gone to see her if I'd been at the festival and had a great time of it for what it was.

Looks like The Stones, The Arctics and Mumford for this year, The Arctics and Stones are both great acts and wipe the floor with U2 and Coldplay in my opinion. Mumford are pretty poor, my feelings towards them is that they couldn't really get a worse headliner.

there's really a big difference between 'good on paper' and 'actual good performance', though. U2, Coldplay and Beyonce looks great (in terms of 'three massive acts') on paper but (i've heard) U2 kind of flopped, Coldplay did pretty well and Beyonce was a mixed bag

Arctics, Stones and maybe Mumfords looks amazing (again, in terms of 'three massive acts') on paper, but who knows what kind of performances each of them could bring. for all we know Mumfords could be the act that people are talking about for years to come and the Stones soon forgotten

and as always, it all comes down to opinion

U2 great amazing

COLDPLAY massive band always great live

Beyonce WHY !!!!but i suppose they have to have an act for the younger crowd

who ever head lines this year there will always be those that will say he should have got this or that band ect ..it always happens i just cant wait for the line up to be announced and look farther down the list and the smaller stages to see the random old style and newer acts.

as long as the sun shines itll be great

Noooo they won't be good. Even if they are all the people on the forums will say they aren't anyway

I'l have a whale of a time though, drunk off my ass dancing to some good old rocknroll!

I'm so excited for gimme shelter live! gonna be a blast!

(By that I mean audibly they will be bad, but no one will care).
