thats my concern, but then i checked my clashfinder, due to clashes there are only 2 or 3 bands i would have seen differently on the friday but im not huge fans of (ok the only one im gutted about is fenech-soler).

On the sunday if the clashfinder is right, there isnt a band that i want to see on another stage that doesnt clash with a must see/act i prefer on mainstage (editors, FOB, NIN as must sees, hadouken as the act i prefer). Im still quite shocked at how badly the timings are going for that day >.< so if the timigns are right its not a waste :O

Ah, fair play then mate, I thought u were missing bands you wanted to see just so you could be at the barrier. I personally enjoy trying every stage at some point if I can. However, doubt I will try the new hip hop thing.

Only thing I would say is if there's a couple of bands who clash and you're not sure who to see, I would go for the tent as the sound can be lost a bit on the main.

In 2011 I stayed at the barrier all day for Muse and absolutely hated the day. It was complete shit. Then two days later I hung further back in the crowd before The Strokes, then 2 songs into The Strokes' set I was second row, and realised I'd wasted the entire Friday waiting for Muse.

If I can get by the barrier for The Stones in Glasto after turning up for Primal Scream, you can get on the barrier for Biffy

Don't be silly, if there are bands on other stages you want to watch, watch them. What if they split up in a month and you miss your chance because you were watching the bloody Lumineers or Hadouken? Think about it

You know what really frustrates me about crowds? When some dickheads are so desperate to get closer that they lead a fucking conga through the crowd when there's absolutely no space. It was packed at Kasabian last year and still people were trying to push through us, what is an extra metre to you?

NIN won't be packed anyway mate, there's no point staying all day just to get to the front, unless you want to see the bands more than others. You could probably turn up for Green Day during Deftones and get to the front too.

I always think the best atmosphere is not too far in front of the sound desk anywayz... done the barrier a few times and it's always been more hassle than it is worth... NIN and SP in 07 was amazing being right on the barrier but think would have enjoyed it just as much if not more a bit further back.

Good times ;)

I think people overestimate getting onto the barrier, it really isn't that difficult, personally I prefer being a bit further back anyway, there's more happening. Unless, it's a band like The Cure which was incredibly easy to get on the barrier for but to be fair, they aren't exactly best suited to the Leeds demographic.

That's exactly my plan. Such an amazing day of music. Hopefully the official times will allow me to see a fair chunk of Merchandise too. Then there's a couple of bands like Arcane Roots and Pure Love who I'd like to see but wouldn't be bothered about missing.

    • Cool, if potentially completely exhausting, idea.
    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.
