Watched an interview with Michael Eavis the other day about when he booked Jay-Z in 2008, turns out he first got offered Kanye as a headliner but after speaking to Emily he said no and that it had to be Jay, so hopefully 5 years later it might be Kanye's turn! Arctics, Stones and Kanye West would be a very strong set of headliners.

Nice one, exact same slot as 2010 though, thought they may have changed the day at least to freshen it up or gave him the other to headline!.

I like it, friday night on the Pyramid , two acts I'd watch but not go out my way for :) Leaves me options open!

espec with mumford and stones there! wait..does it mean you have to acually WATCH the brits?? thats commitment ...

I wouldn't watch the Brits for a million quid.

I have some secret squirrels who attend for me .... tho unfortunately, for the first time ever when they've been at the Brits for me, they've come back with absolutely nothing at all. :(

(I tell a small lie ... one heard Alt-J interviewed, but we already know what was said).

It's one of those things where the right opportunities have to fall into place, and they just didn't this time. Oh well.

Surely this means Noel is headlining The Other stage? I just can't see him playing at 6.30.

I'd prefer to see him at 6.30 but can't see it...

Regarding Dizzee, a solid booking, and an obvious warm up for Arctics. Personally find him a decent bloke, with some fun/ amusing singles, but that's it. Most people like his music, but does anyone love it? Does anyone actually listen to the whole of his album from start to finish, and go wow - i doubt it. However he is good, early evening festival fodder that will get the crowd going and will be great fun. A decent booking.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
