I have had some exquisitely shite food at festivals, and some down right ripoffs,a very dodgy kebab once and a time when from a pie and mash stall where I had bought pie, mash and mushy peas for a tenner, when I asked for a drizzel of gravy they wanted an extra pound off me,I mean a quid for a bit of Bisto,I thought that was taking the piss and told them so.

So anyway,I think these purveyers of lumpy porridge should be ousted. Don't get me wrong, food has come a long way at Glastonbury, some fresh, organic and locally sourced food which should be championed, but there are some uncaring food sellers at the festival that need to pull their socks up for the good of and health of the festival

So any nasty food stories and stalls to avoid?

Hunt around and you can eat superbly at Glasto. It's one of the joys of the fest for me. Magnificent food from around the world. I can't offer thoughts on bad food stalls because simply using your eyes and nose should tell you. Plus one person's taste isn't another's.

One I would recommend is Suresh's Indian Veggie Curry stall on the bridge at the entrance to the Jazz World.

And it is open all day and night on the Monday, famous for it. Just over Yeoman's Bridge going from the Jazz Field towards Pyramid etc.

BTW just before YB on the rhs is a burger van right on the corner. Sells bacon butties etc. Went there years ago in desperation. Avoid at all costs. It is still there. One rasher of shoite dry "bacon" in a stale butterless bap. :( Fiver.

I dont eat meat so that drastically lessens the chances of getting something too terrible.

Eating a kebab at a festival? good grief.

It amuses me immensely to see all you meat eaters putting the utter shite the meat industry push on you into your bodies.

The best thing about not eating meat is sneering at people who do eat meat. Well that and the not getting cancer bit.

Never had a truly bad meal at Glastonbury but I did find Pieminister quite overrated and disapointing. Eaten there twice and both times the pastry was rock hard, quite disappointing as I have bought their pies in shops to heat at home and they are always lovely.

I had noodles from one stall last year and only managed to eat a few mouthfuls before having to throw it away it was that horrible. I don't know where the stall was but I'll not eat noodles anywhere on site again because of that experience. I didn't mind the mushrooms I'd eaten earlier though!
