It'd be a brave man who'd put any money on Pendulum (on hiatus), Black Keys (taking the summer off), Jack White (currently nothing booked), The Strokes (ditto, and usually take money on offer elsewhere) or Biffy Clyro (headlining Reading/Leeds)

I didn't know Black Keys were taking the year off. That's a shame. I think Jack White and The Strokes are still a possibility though, because right now most festivals have only announced headliners so wouldn't be announced till later. Although I admit that Strokes are a pretty long shot.

Jack White would be incredible. I always imagined him more likely to accept a sub slot - not sure why, but I think both are possible. I can't see him doing nothing next year, doesn't make sense at all.

I suppose not having any festival slots is a pretty good trade off for a new album eh?

I'm hoping Sigur Ros are somewhere at the festival and headlining the Other Stage would be perfect! I'd also guess that The Black Keys would be in with a shout as well, Bon Iver maybe? Gaslight Anthem (personally I'd be over the moon)? It is quite possible I'll spend each of the three nights watching the Other headliners, never happened before.

been mentioned before but Black Keys and Bon Iver are taking some time off touring so looking unlikely it'll be them, and Gaslight Anthem aren't big enough to headline Other i'd say, although i wouldn't object to them being there

The Gaslight Anthem is possibly my favourite band. I would be shocked if they would get so high a slot as people are suggesting.

They played at 1.30 on the Pyramid stage in 2011, and although their stock has risen with the new album, I highly doubt they'd headline or sub-headline the Other.

Fourth on Other or subbing the John Peel I'd say.

I agree. I reckon they'll be looking to make the step up to headline slot at festivals now after subbing and headlining second stages for the past few years. Maybe they're destined to be the bridesmaid and never the bride, so to speak!

A repeat slot from 09 would lack a little imagination given the acts currently available to headline the Other Stage
