Lots of good stuff.

Happy about The Knife, Flaming Lips, Snoop, and all the DJs.

It's not got me as excited as previous announcements. Feels like there's a lot of random stuff, like sinead o'conner.

Good though.

I'm not that excited in all honest. Would love to see Snoop, but other than The Knife, Franz Ferdinand and maybe The Flaming Lips (haven't really go into them yet) most of the undercard I'd see, like Peace, Swim Deep, Johnny Marr, Jaws & Drenge, I'm expecting to be at Reading.

But then again, Wu-Tang would be fucking cool to see...

Not that fussed with the line-up this year so far... Unless Arcade Fire are the third headliner, which i doubt. Wonder if the big top headliners are in that announcement? Orbital, justice and 2many dj's (+hot chip, soulwax and nero) were pretty much what i planned my festival around last time but there seems to be a lack of major dance acts announced so far...

Since The Cure headlined in 2011 Bestival has really got better with its lineups, although they have always had a few large acts at the top, the undercard is way better now than it was 3-4 years ago.

Isn't it basically the same size as IOW now?

If it is I don't see how Arcade Fire headlining could be seen as a step-down. Yeah, Bestival is more alternative but its practically a major festival now.

I'm pretty sure they delayed announcing Florence due to her appearance at Reading & Leeds, but I may be wrong...

The person who posted "Arcade Fire, Snoop Dogg, Elton John" earlier got 2 out of 3 right so far (Elton was pretty obvious, but still) so it wouldn't be totally illogical to believe it.

    • Good catch this. Used on the Main stage on Saturday like a really cheap alternative.   Cracking little day though. A few Belgian acts to start the day (Atomic Orchestra, Kids with Buns, Selah Sue), some UK/IE midsized bands to end the afternoon (Gurriers, Wunderhorse, Wet Leg) and then an evening of Deftones, Florence and Underworld.   Can’t wait to be there and (at least try to) make the most of it.
    • I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?
    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
