The thing is... people above have gone through the 'only good songs' from Oasis... and easily got to 15-18 tunes between them. And they haven't mentioned some fairly cheesy tunes that are still massively popular as singalongs and good melodies.... I'm thinking Whatever, Don't Look back in Anger, Some Might Say etc.

They don't deserve to have been the biggest English band for the past 30 years (except maybe Radiohead), but they have a pretty decent back catalogue.

see above about b-sides. Gas Panic, yeah, thats a great tune forgotten that.

But for 7/8 albums, the fact we're struggling to put together an album's worth of great tunes, and only one from the last three albums, is not exactly making a case.

saying that, they do hold huge nostalgic value for me, and always will.

Much as they have more gash in their canon than most bands IMO they easily have 12 songs to make a "great" album's worth.

- Slide Away

- Acquiesce

- Rock N Roll Star

- Live Forever

- The Masterplan

- Half The World Away

- Cast No Shadow

- Lyla

- Stay Young

- D'You Know What I Mean

- Columbia

- Fade Away

3 songs ending in "Away". Read a few books Noel FFS.

Yeah the B Sides were quite good to be fair.

I always liked D'Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman

And always really Liked Stand By Me. I love a D to A minor progression (chorus), as simple as it is. Also really reminds me of my first summer away sans parents. We had Be Here Now, Pop and Fat of the Land on repeat for 2 weeks in the Canaries.

This version is great.

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
