Sting has apparently only signed a deal for 6 appearences, he's used one at Survivor Series. I imagine the others will be to build Mania and Mania itself.

Im looking forward to TNA tonight

Im on earlies at work so won't be able to watch until this time tomorrow, they sure have resigned a lot of talent to new deals this past week, Jessie [Robbie signed a new multi yr deal last year], The Wolves, EY, Maidson Raine, Mr Anderson, Abyss, EC3 and Kurt Angle have all signed new deals.

Thats all positive.

I like the build they've been doing for Lashley v Roode III, that fight poster they've been putting all over Social Media and then the two images you can use to support who you think will win, all good.

However I don't like the fact Dixie has come out and said the product is going to go behind the scenes more and have more of a reality TV element, to make you care about the stars more.

I see what shes doing but I had hoped it would be leaning more towards a pure wrestling show, oh well. I'll not shit on it before hand and go in with an open mind and hope it does its job.

I hope now the new year is in that we will see more about The Revolution, theres 5 of them in the group now and they have the Tag Titles, it could be a really interesting storyline but it kept getting left off shows last year. So I hope they feature more and this group is one area where they need more character out of ring time .

I've been fairly bored this evening at work so had a go at predicting the WrestleMania 31 card:

Seth Rollins vs. Daniel Bryan

(WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Triple H vs. Sting

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

Paige vs. Nikki Bella

(Divas Championship)

John Cena vs. Rusev

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt

Ryback & Erick Rowan vs. The Big Show & Luke Harper

Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus

(Street Fight)

Bad News Barrett vs. Dolph Ziggler

(Intercontinental Championship)

***PRE-SHOW***

Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens vs. Adrian Neville

(NXT Championship)

The Miz vs. Damien Mizdow

The Usos vs. Cesaro & Kidd vs. The Ascension

(Tag Team Championship)

It's not necessarily what I want, as I want Brock vs. Bryan for the title. It's what I think at the moment. There's so many people to try and squeeze in though.

And no, Rusev doesn't go over Cena :/ apparently that match has been on the cards for quite a while, and, unfortunately, I can't see them letting Rusev go over. Reigns getting the rub of beating Rusev would be best for him imo, but where does that leave Cena? Especially if Brock vs. Bryan does happen as well.

Do you really think that'll work? I think they would jump the shark there big style.

A 6 ft 3, 19 stone former UFC champion vs a 5ft 8, 14 stone guy who struggles to body slam any of his opponents. Nah.

They've had Eddie Guerrero beat Brock before who was a similar size. Keep in mind that WWE have a major shortage of both talented and popular stars.

Ideally I want Taker to win rumble then beat Brock at Wrestlemania for the title/redemption for the streak and lose in his first defense followed by his retirement, although it would probably be a rubbish match.

Eddie was far more talented, stronger and explosive. And Brock hadn't been to UFC then.

Thats a good call yeah! Taker can only fight Lesnar at WM really. Or retire.

Personally I think hes done. Riddled with injuries and he'll be 50 at this WM. Has looked very slow the last few WMs and has been completely carried by his opponents. Lesnar can't carry people so hence the shit match. Punk did slightly better and they had to draft in HBK to spice up the 2nd HHH match. Should have packed it there.

I think it would work brilliantly. It's the ultimate David vs. Goliath, and with David being the most popular superstar on the roster I think the crowd would eat it up. It's the match that would have happened at Summerslam if Bryan hadn't have got injured.

On The Undertaker, I've read loads of stuff about Bray Wyatt being kept strong to face 'Taker if he can go this Wrestlemania. That's a match I would love to see, but at this point in time the only match that I think The Undertaker needs to have is against Sting, and with Triple H being the one to face him this year, that leaves any possible match with The Undertaker until WM32. What I'd like to see is Sting beating Triple H at 'Mania this year, and for The Undertaker to come out afterwards, have a stare down with Sting and point to a WM32 sign or something. Bill it as both guys final match and have it a year in the making.

Do both Sting and Taker have another year in them tho? Sting's contract will be up plus he's in his 50's and Taker isn't in the best shape.

That's the downside to it. The only way I would say yes is if it was a year in the making that would hopefully give them both a year to get in the best shape possible and plan the best match they could.

But there has to be a tiny bit of real life credibility in it for the story to be believable. Lesnar could literally snap Bryan in two in 10 seconds.

Sting is still in ok shape. Could wrestle a few more years. Taker has left two of his last three matches in an ambulance. Without taking particularly big bumps. Apart from the suicide dive in the 1st HHH match.

TNA

Very good return from TNA but wasn't sure at first on the way they done the opening but I guess it was kind of cool and different.

I really liked Aries/Low Ki, of course the return of Kong and loved the main event.

Roode and Lashley always work well together. Not really interesting in seeing yet another stable though, how many times has this been done now? It's obviously to build towards Lockdown but just bored of it. I'm glad they didn't pull a swerve and have Roode turn, I want to see him stay face for a long time as he done everything as a heel.

I did like the EY heel turn though, his character has been needing a change of direction.

As for the production side of things I didn't find much has really changed apart from the camera thing they brought up.

I enjoyed Impact

Wasn't that different to before to be honest.

I really enjoyed Josh and Tazz, much fresher than Tenay. But I like how they have Tenay doing an interview.

I hate Christie as a ring announcer tho.

I really enjoyed Raw's ring announcer I forget her name, she has a natural voice, the best they've had for a long time.

Also just saw Lawler has been permanently removed from Raw and replaced by Booker T. Another great move IMO

New teams are [copy and paste job]

Raw will have Michael Cole, JBL, and Booker T.

Smackdown will have Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Jerry Lawler.

Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, and JBL will be the announcers for pay per views.

The ring announcer from RAW this week is called Eden Stiles. I thought she wasn't too bad at all really, way better than Justin 'JEEEAAAANNN CEEEEEENUUUH' Roberts. Hearing Tony Chimel introduce Edge & Christian the other week though was awesome, he's always been my favorite ring announcer (apart from The Fink). I quite like Lilian Garcia as well, though. Roberts really was the worst I've ever heard.
