yeah saw Blink in Newcastle a few weeks ago. Great gig and I would be happy to see them at download but would not want them without Travis which would be the case. http://www.nme.com/news/blink-182/64863

Also the All American Rejects lead singer was mental! I couldnt tell if he was off his tits or just trying to be flamboyant lol

Yes those bands were 2000, that was never in doubt, the reason why those 3 wouldn't be on the same lineup anymore is because 2 of those would headline, Reading would never have 2 metal headliners anymore.

If you want proof of a Reading lineup since Download started with similar bands to those you mentioned, how about Reading 06 - Slayer, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, Coheed & Cambria etc or how about Reading 08 - Metallica, Slipknot, Rage Against The Machine, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Serj Tankian etc

Face it, you have no arguement.

I don't think there should be an outcry Gazza, I mean anyone that's familiar with Download knows there is almost always a token dancey act I think Nero would fit and Skrillex would be another dancey contender for a decent spot at Download.

Skrillex is popular because of the Korn link. There's not many that would appeal though because at the end of the day all you are seeing is a guy standing and playing CDs. Or pressing teh spacebar on a laptop if deadmau5 is to be believed. It's not great viewing and if they don't have a great lightshow i.e are in the headline slot, then there is nothing to distract from that.

Neil got fed up with people arguing with him so has taken his trainset away again. The T coverage seems to have ignored the good bands apart from Kasabian and showed all the "press play" merchants. I did have a great weekend there and found just enough good bands to keep me going but I'll not be back without a stonking line up. With it's apparent current direction towards w*nky DJs that won't be anytime soon.

Care to elaborate?

I watched a few mins of Calvin Harris on from T on TV, the presenters were gushing about how good he was. All i saw was a bloke playing other peoples records and twiddling some Knobs.

As far as Skrillex, Deadmau5 etc go it's a step too far too soon for my liking.

People will be wanting Depeche Mode or Gary Numan next.

Download clearly needs to branch out a bit and for years it's a had a sprinkling of electronic music as long as there is a bit of crossover it will continue.
