Guess this means no Sonisphere then.

Iron Maiden doesn't really excite me, Ive never really seen them, I caught a bit at Reading 2005 but I went to watch Bloc Party in the tent cus I was reallllly into their first album.

If Rammstein DO play I'll possibly go for the day, if Tool play, I'll end up going.

I saw Futureheads too, I remember watching all of Marilyn Manson on main stage who was superb, then went to the tent and Futureheads hadn't even started, saw all that [remember them split the tent in half for hounds of love] then Bloc Party - remember the guy climbing the rig and they weren't allowed to continue until he got down, he went from be cheered to getting death threats in seconds, then saw the end of Iron Maiden afterwards

Iron maiden pretty much are to be officially confirmed !! A Planet Rock DJ said that he'd be talking to a headliner, one of the biggest British bands on Thursday 20th!! This is when Nova Rocks' early bird offer ends so it should be a combined announcement about a Maiden tour of fests for next year!! Good to start British after London 2012 then. All we need is two other big hitters. Possibly Rammstein and SlipknoT.

Sorry if i'm a bit behind but how do we know that the headliners are from three different countries?

Nickleback or Ramstein would be the most likely.Of course theres Rush??

Only other likely countries other than england, germany canada and america who are likely to provide a headliner would be Wales and Scotland but I think we could rule Biffy out after they played last year and Lostprophets prob arn't big enough anymore

I'm going for Iron Maiden and Pearl Jam as two of them. Don't see Bullet making the step up without a acclaimed new album. PJ have a new album out so a big chance I think, and with the a band member played this year.

Hoping for Maiden Friday and PJ Sunday but I see them both playing over Sat and Sun. If not Rammstein then Paramore/Green Day for the last one or both.

Green Day/Paramore

Pearl Jam

Iron Maiden

Also putting Enter Shikari as Sunday 2nd stage closing act. And possibly Motley Crue as Friday 2nd stage

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
