Most bands will tour where they will sell the most tixs and in the UK Paramore sell lots of tixs. I don't think Paramore having played in the UK before is hard proof that they actually like playing in the UK anymore than they would else where.

Also when a band says your the best crowd ever, they say it at every show

Delighted as much as anyone else?, you mean as in Tool which was who I was on about? They love playing here so much that every year people ask and cheer for them on here it never happens! Infact it's been said time and time they don't give a shit about the UK.

No on about anyone else, on about Tool, that's what my debate was about. Not Ramm, not Maiden, not Slipknot, but Tool, and it was Paramore that was my reasons for. Doesn't matter if they sell loads here, it's irrelevant, they still go and play other places too, Soundwave Aus for instant next year.

Download's booker would to have them, the crowd or majority would but haven't made it happen. Even got bloody AC/DC with no name on the t-shirts but no Tool!

Oh and your spoiler, I am now enlightened I didn't realise that, but just to clear it up, I didn't mention anywhere about Paramore saying the best crowd ever.

I think some people really think they are clued up over others and should re-read before submitting sometimes!

My post was in reply to you're multiple posts about how Paramore like playing the UK for no real reason than that they have played the UK a few times before. Not Ramm, not Maiden, not Slipknot, not Tool, and it was Paramore. Tho on that topic, Foos have said multiple times Reading is their favourite festival yet they didn't play for 7 years which is a shorter gap than Tool have played the UK.

I never said you said Paramore said "you're the best crowd ever" you can re-read it again to get clued up if you want to submit a response to it.

It still proves my point in my debate for my headliner suggestion. Dude, if they wanted to play a festival since 2006 here or big shows, they would, enough said. They would do it instead of so much america etc, Download goers thrive on the thought of it and it's a mass appeal place, they don't care. Of course they could turn up next year but that's if they do.

Why include to quote in a reply to me then?

The reason was that they have actually bothered to play here and Tool haven't whilst still playing everywhere else showing they have been touring just couldn't be arsed to do it in the UK.

They don't need to have done R&L until now though really. IOW slot, TITP slot, MK Bowl shows, Wembley Stadium shows and they were actually booked before to headline Reading only 3 years after the previous time. Not to forget the sub NME spot earlier on or the earlier main stage spot. Think that's justfied that.

No he said what I said thats why he responded adly to me on twitter and said oh shall we just cancel the festival instead then?

How is that anything the same, he needs someone to speak for him cus when something happens and someone calls him on it, he cacks himself. Been the same since he booked Def Leppard.

Iron Maiden announcement next Monday is what I think will happen. Coinciding with Steve Harris' solo album release. Pretty simple. He just speaks to Zane Lowe about how the preparation for the solo album went and then says that Maiden will headline Download. With the new colour scheme and Download dog Maiden seems pretty defo!

    • Same here, when the lineup dropped it looked very strong but this year I’m considering more whether I buy tickets for enjoyment or fomo.   Speaking of that dilemma, I caved and bought a Turnstile Piece Hall ticket so I’ll see you there 😂
