Lineup 2014

in 2013 V put the vaccines fourth down, so there's no argument that it's in competition to give acts high places.

Yes there is. In 2012 both R&L and V would have been going for them, so R&L had to give them a high slot. In 2013 R&L wouldn't be after them, so V didn't have to give them a high slot.

Well maybe due to the fact that Reading has constantly been bumping up smaller bands that the value of those slots have gone down? Therefore they have given slots such as third down to acts that may not necessarily be that size?

I'd say it's only in recent festival years that playing 5th down on the mainstage looks like a "low slot"

Oh I agree with what you're saying, I just don't agree with your Vaccines point.

sorry to use the "back in this time" blah blah blah

but in previous years, bands who used to play 3rd down, were pretty much at the size that they could easily sub if the actual sub pulled out.

I mean 2004 - The White Stripes, Morrissey, The Libertines as a top three!

I have one friend who likes Imagine Dragons and he's going to Glastonbury so...

Unfortunately he's the only close friend I'm going with, and he wants to see nobody good there at all. He's going for Bombay/Jake Bugg/Foster the People/MGMT, etc., which leaves me a little screwed. I even exclaimed at him that Aphex Twin is playing in a fit of excitement and he replied with "Ok". Ffs.

    • Zero chance of Primavera. Zero. Wrong festival.
    • If Reform do win in Makerfield then I think they're nailed on to win the next election, and labour will implode. Simple as that.
    • Bit close...if enough of those Restore votes go to Reform...

    • wombats have been doing that and selling quite well, couple of really strong support acts could make it work.
