Havent read the thread but racism is a serious thing.

However i dont know why the guy who runs the site has banned a regular like Com... It just reduces the amount of posts and also amont of clicks for advertising (somthing I have seen the owner go mental over on a glastonbury thread)

Well no I'm sure Neil's banned many regulars and the clicks thing was about people using ad blockers. That doesn't really come into it though.

If you've ever been on a forum that is scared to ban regulars you'll understand why. They're horrible places to post and that drives away far more people than the occasional ban does.

Also, as a point, most people that run forums don't do so for the advertising revenue, they do it because they want a place for people to talk about something, and the advertising is there to try and cover running costs. Even major companies don't do it for the money, they do it for the PR.

Always thought that if any of you lot were to be banned it would be me...

woah. Scary stuff, was a huge blurred line in context though - difficult.

Why? While you get slagged off a lot, you don't exactly do anything that warrants banning.

And it'd be a lot more boring if you were. I'd have about 500 posts.

I'm sure will and com would have kept you busy.

Idk, maybe negative points reaching an efestivals record all time low.

What's a Barry Fish?

It is a shame about Com as he was one of the regulars when I joined (as most of you were) and the lines and meaning were blurred a lot which is a shame because it leaves people thinking Com was a racist when he was just a normal guy. That said I understand why Neil banned him because it prevents others acting up over blatantly trivial comments.

Lets be honest it all went downhill for com when he slagged off R&L abd stopped posting on this thread :P

Also back to music... Long shot but Is there any streams for Download or IOW knocking around? Been wanting to watch them but no idea where to look for festival streams

But the person accusing Com of racism was seriously over reacting in my opinion.

But as for the Download and IOW question, IOW has highlights on Sky Arts next week (according to day as well so Fridays will be on the Friday ect...) and Download has highlights on Sky Arts as well but I'm not sure when they're but last year it was a mix of the weekend and it was in two parts

After how badly they went down in 07, I'm surprised to see RHCP play just a 14 song set last night, leaving out the likes of Under the Bridge and Scar Tissue. I'd have thought they'd have gone all out with a hit packed set to make sure they didn't go down like a lead balloon. Dunno how it did go down though.

    • A question has crossed my (questionable) mind;   Has the size of the Green Fields remained the same as other areas have expanded / been added on to, since say, 2014 (the last time that I attended)? Are they 'lost' within, or well attended?    That's actually two questions. The second one just slipped in at the end by taking advantage of my lack of means to stop it.
    • I'd say the same about Kylie.    Annie would be awesome, Duran not so much, and on the issue of them wanting a beanie slot, that probably rules out a fair few others who I think would fit the bill very well... and are legitimately more entitled to a headline, and/or too expensive.   Was just about to suggest Chaka Khan, but see @Gnomicide has beat me to it!    What about someone like Bryan Ferry?
