Seen both AM and QOTSA on their latest tours and can safely say they've both got it nailed live atm.

QOTSA slightly edge it, if I had to pick one.

Anyone seen Arctics/QotSA live? Are their shows any good? Compared to other good shows like Kasabian how do they rank?

I've seen Paramore and Blink before and they were both fairly decent once I got past the dick jokes from Blink.

Saw Arctic Monkeys at their homecoming shows at Don Valley Bowl in 2011 and they were brilliant.

Saw both QOTSA and Arctic Monkeys on their arena tours last year. QOTSA were absolutely miles ahead. Seriously good gig, brilliant crowd, too. Arctic Monkeys were very boring, and the older songs sounded really weak, like they were missing something. Bollocks to anyone who says they've sorted it out since releasing AM. They may have been better than their last R&L headline sets, but they were much worse than in 2011.

On the Pendulum thing, I've maintained from the start that they'll be a sub, probably below Blink.

Anyway on the Pendulum thing he could be on about the new album as he just something about Pendulum coming back, but that has been confirmed by him so it wouldn't really be worth a tease.

Reckon R&L could still get them as they got C&S last year and seeing how successful they were it would't surprise me. Especially with the bigger crossover appeal they have than C&S.

R&L have had The Libs, Pulp and NIN all recently off the back of reunions/returns from hiatus, Pendulum wouldn't surprise me.

Everyone was crying/dying for Arcade Fire a couple of months ago.

Yeah what happened to this? People just jumping on the hype like a bunch of sheep.

That said, the new Kasabian album is sounding a bit diabolical so far what with the "There's like a massive drop...and then it just says Leicester..proper oldschool" and these lyrics "Horsemeat in the burgers, people commit murders, everyone’s on bugle, we’re being watched by Google."

That lyric is brilliant I think the problem with Kasabian is that their songs nearly always have a catchy rhythm but when you actually start listening, it's all pretty much dogshite.

Musically AF blow them away, although I'd have to see AF live before comparing them in that sense, I did think Kasabian were amazing at Leeds

Before November, Biffy were my favourite live band. Arcade Fire at the Roundhouse then became my favourite experience of all time. THE best, most fun, gig I've ever been to. I can't recommend their live shows enough!

Saw them both live this year, QOTSA at Download were incredible Imo. Arctic's were good but not amazing. I'd put QOTSA and Kasabian around the same level live personally, Kasabian were insane on their arena tour the other year
