Do pop-up tents with a separate covered space even exist? Plenty of 2-man ones do but I don't think the pop-up ones can have that due to the way they pitch/packdown.

The Lumineers have got 5th from top at T in the Park. On the one hand it makes their position at R&L look a bit more understandable, but on the other hand, how the fuck are they getting these slots?

I got all my stuff (Tent, sleeping bag, air bed, chair, pump & mallet) from Tesco for something like 30 quid last year.

I took a four man tent for myself last year. Lucky that I did because my brother's tent leaked and he had to then move into my tent.

Is early camping (on the Wednesday) worth missing GCSE Results day for? I can get my parents to email me my results, so I wouldn't miss them, but is there much point going in?

It's worth getting a decent spot for unless you have mates who will already be there, it's alright to have 2 days to settle down as well. I just got my nan to text me mine, there's not much point going to get them yourself if you'd rather have an extra day at the fest

I've got a new 5-man tent for (usually) myself this year, after 6 years of being in a 2-man tent either by myself or with someone I'm definitely not THAT close to. It's not the space so much as the fact large tents don't heat up stupidly quickly after sunrise and I'll be working night shifts at several festivals so will really need a vaguely cool space in which to sleep through the morning.

I've never bothered with early camping at festivals, always find a spot I'm OK with, but then I usually just go with one or two mates, and I don't mind a walk to the arena (except at Download, where it doesn't make any diff anyway).
