I'd have thought they'd be higher though, especially with A$AP Rocky and Azealia Banks are two of the subs. Surely too big for FR? Unless they're low main.

Of the indie Genre, half of that is kerrang turd. Fob definately arent under this category. Editors I would say do make it with twin atlantic and Biffy.

1) I thought Bestival had sold out.

2) you have more chance of a daft punk secret set than Dre coming on with Eminem.

3) The guitar bands this year are better because they aren't The Vaccines or TDCC

What do people think the possibility of D12 is? Either he'll bring them onstage with him or they'll play earlier on i think

Think by that he means what most would almost class as indie (such as strokes, arctics libertines), as well as bands like black keys, foos etc. The bands that predominantly structure their sound around guitars unlike bands who use a lot of snyth and electronic sounds.

Also it is missing acts that would beef up the line up but have enough mainstream success to get large crowds such as the vampire weekends, bloc party, yeah yeah yeahs (being the easiest examples at hand) of the world. I think in previous years when there wasn't such attention paid to these pop/ dance acts bands like foals would have fitted in 4th, with someone else above them. Same with lumineers but then i wouldn't want the editors to suffer further embarrassment.

That's the problem, I guess. The 'banker' acts would have been older, even Vampire Weekend are from five/six years ago. The newer acts that have mainstream appeal are urban/dance/dubstep, which is why the line up is packed with it.

I would be nice to have one or two other alternative types on the FR stage, rather just generic NME rubbish. Tame Impala, Tomahawk and NIN are welcome treats so far.

But arent vampire weekend and yeah yeah yeahs releasing new albums, which are most likely to make them current again. Although foals probably deserve a high slot i cant help but think it looks quite thin on the ground on the eminem day, especially as their just carting out white lies again to try to appease the people who are more into their indie music.

One of the biggest names in dubstep/dance, yes. But none of my peers like him, and there's a dance stage, so why isn't he there? Taking up a place that could have been filled by a good band.

Probably will get a decent crowd but I just personally have a bit of a hatred for him.
