Quick point on Bestival- I know people who went last year & got in with student tickets & no 'over 30' no problem. Security don't really care & have bigger things to worry about (and even then they're not very good at that :P)

Failing that there are plenty of over 30's around that you can pretend to be with :P

They've had a dance headliner the past two years so they do mix it up.

I think Skrillex is a big enough act commercially to get a decent crowd but also of a specific genre so will still ensure that plenty of dance fans will prefer to see Sub Focus.

frank turner, I'd see i guess, don't like his new single really.

Peace maybe, but its not necessary.

Eminem

Twin Atlantic

johnny marr

imagine dragons, i guess

biffy clyro

fob, i guess

the lumineers

editors, i guess

12 max. With 8 already confirmed at other places I'm going

Yeah true i suppose. If Skrillex draws a big crowd it'll only be because there's not much alternative for those who aren't rock fans on the Reading Friday.

But Frank Turner not being on Lock-up has relevance, as he is of a completely different genre than that of the Lock-up stage. Same with Skrillex on NME, I was under the impression it was usually a more mellow rock stage with 1/2 alternative dance acts..

From an indie rock fan's perspective, the festival would only be worth going to on the Saturday, with a few decent acts on Sunday and Friday and maybe some to come on the FR (Reading).

From a more heavy rock fan's perspective, it'd be worth it on the Sunday and the Friday, and lock-up would probably fill in the gaps.

From a pop/RnB fan's perspective, it's a decent lineup with a few chart indie bands and quite a few good rappers/dance acts.

Despite some saying R&L has let itself down this year, if anything they've targeted a larger demographic than ever before.

There's Wiley on 1extra at the same time as Skrillex. And Sub Focus on Dance. That's waaaaay more of an alternative to rock music headlinera than there usually is at Reading. Skrillex will get a big crowd cos he's a huge act. Simple as.

Oh yeah, Frank Turner is such a different genre to the Lock Up that he played a well-attended and well-received secret set on the stage in 2011.

The NME stage is basically the same as the main stage in terms of genres but (obviously) with smaller acts, and a bit more dance.
