2013 Lineup

I'm sure that's going to be a frequent accusation thrown at them. Of course we have no idea how much acts cost and whether they had to pay over the odds for commercial acts like Jake Bugg, ASAP Rocky and Azealia Banks to keep them away from V, but if those last two stay in their current positions it will certainly look weak.

There was always going to be a dilution of quality across the bill with the addition of the new stages.

3 days of Dance and Lock up plus the 1 extra stage will no doubt draw a few acts away from the NME, who's pressence would have made the overall lineup in there look stronger.

Ive not seen Phoenix, and have seen Biffy quite a bit but not for years, I didn't bother at Download last year, so that ones a bit tough, although I only have 1 Phoenix album - its never been like that, which I loved at the time and was gunna watch them at V but they simply didn't turn up and I didn't listen to them again cus I was pissed off with them [and V for not announcing it but letting me stand in a tent for ages whilst they simply didn't turn up up, until I finally saw someone from the fest and they said they haven't turned up so won't be playing]

The NME announcement really transformed the festival for me last year (Coxon, Mastodon, Hives, Lanegan, The Joy Formidable), while I can't see any bands the size of the xx or Dizzee being added it could still look a lot different when the line-up is complete.

Hahahha, you still have to pay that back though, with interest.

In my day, we had no fees, the government paid for everthing and we were actually given grants, free cash, no need to ever pay it back!

I left my final year of Uni precisely £41 in debt!

On the otherside though I am now old whilst you are still youthful!
