Qotsa are download exclusive according to copping. Then again he said faith no more were and we all know what happened there.....doubt it though.

I hope it's linkin park for the reaction on here :P plus so I can finally see them. Dunno why there's so much hate for them, their songs are original and epic

I'd really hope so; I asked Rhydian if they were and he said he wasn't sure if they were playing. They are playing festivals like that though (don't want to reveal which ones they are as I'd feel bad leaking them) and they should be announced soon.

I know that they are Download, but the fact Queens of the Stone age haven't announced to play anywhere else in the UK is keeping my hopes up that there is the slightest possibility that they could crop up on Monday (although I know this is unlikely and that they could yet get announced for T or Glasto)

Three things that make me think this isn't Wireless. Firstly, if you look up the domain info for the Example London 2013 site, it is registered to the promoters of SW4. Next, flyers were given out at Earls Court for it, just like the SW4 organisers did at Brixton Academy for a skrillex gig last year. Finally, I was trawling wall posts on example's Facebook page and he said this London show was 18+, which wireless isn't but SW4 is.

I think Glasto at the most will get them. If Copping's lying about them only at Dload then R&L won't announce until after their fest, and nor will anyone. I think people right upto Scotland way travel down to Dload so.

Queens I think could if Grohl actually drummed for them next year. If not, sub position.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
    • A lot of people have said this online but does the Marvel world need new cities to play with? New York seems to be a target of all the villains to the point where you wonder why anyone in that world still lives there. Much as you can accuse me of overthinking it I guess haha.    I do agree that The Void is a compellingly different villain in many respects given the superpower is trapping people in their most traumatic memories. Shame in some respects the film came out in the post-Endgame funk Marvel seems stuck in and a lot of people missed out on it.    Speaking of, I rewatched Infinity War the other day. First time I think I've seen it since seeing it in the cinema on its opening day. Holds up pretty well imo - I have issues sometimes with ensemble casts and jumping between 4/5 storylines but it felt this one got the balance right and also properly explored Thanos. So it was good.
