I'm not saying the same position now. I think RA are probably closer to 3rd/4th NME/sub NME. Where as billy talent are approx an album behind.

They were a similar position 2009 though.

I'm thinking on going to a festival next summer, can someone tell me if reading/leeds is worth the money I listen to rock, indie and some metal, my only problem is I don't live in England and would love to go to a festival that's not in Ireland, can anyone give me advice?

I very much approve of your music taste. Desaparecidos would be AMAZING but i doubt they'll even tour outside of North America hopefully FR stage though.

If you're looking for diversity between those three genres, there's only one place you can look in UK really. We all bitch and moan about it but in reality it's a very good festival for it's demographic. Not sure I can comment on it being worth the money as I assume flights or ferries will be pricey and that's relative to you but yeah, do it.

Desparecidos have already played here? They did two or three nights at Electric Ballroom, Birmingham, and possibly Manchester as well.

In all seriousness on the topic of Linkin Park, i remember driving back from University at some point early last year and Zane Lowe was interviewing the lead singer about the new album, they played a song and that's the last i heard of them... Have the last couple of albums even been successful anywhere?

I don't think nu-metal was ever a good idea and i don't think any of it should be taken seriously.

Newest album was number 1, the one before number 2 so people still buy their albums.
