No they haven't lol. everyone on here refused to believe they'd play higher than sub yet so that's bull.

they will have to headline as V will offer more than R&L to have them sub anyway, it'll be a Vaccines case, they had to play 3rd to keep them from R&L. Can't really explain the Flo one, V would've offered her more to sub, obvs weren't offering headline, she may've just wanted to actually play R&L instead.

you actually called what i thought was the most realistic prediction, and i remember saying that too. Depeche I'm undecided on, kinda would like to see them but they don't quite justify the money. And I'm certain I'll see Mumford at T next year so that wouldn't do it either, i saw Sabbath at download. I reckon DM is more likely than Arctics though, they could just as easily do their own thing.

The Prodigy and Bloc party as two subs surely?

Non as usual, bull!

I know they're bloody headline size, everyone knows that, but doesn't make it obviously going to happen.

Lol, okay, so someone says Mumford will headline thread, that just means it going to happen, stop talking shit. All I said was make a statement from a festival boss recently that stated they won't take a sub, and that's more official than anything anyone's said on here.

Call it what you what, call me what you want, but until that, it was still debateable

I think the issue with Rancid is they're probably too big/expensive to headline Lock Up, but don't have the widespread appeal that their fee on Main/NME would warrant; although there is a minority that ask for Rancid year on year that definitely is a minority, so I think unless Lock Up really blow out on them one year it won't happen.

Gigwise did a poll, apparently, about who fans would most like to see at R+L.

  1. The Killers

  2. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

  3. Biffy Clyro

  4. Depeche Mode

  5. Blur

Not really that interesting, but I was particularly surprised at Depeche Mode being fourth after we've mentioned so often about demographic and stuff, and ahead of Blur who I'd expect to be right up the top.
