Listening to the rain tipping down all last night I decided that I don't expect the weather to be anything but wet and cold-that way I can't be disappointed. Suddenly I felt a whole lot happier.

I'm just going to fill the car with lots of spare warm clothes, have some vodka for internal warmth, and sod the weather.

Well, just one week to go now, guys - whooppeeee! :D Metcheck shows a very mixed forecast for next weekend - not that we necessarily completely trust the weather forecast ;) - and, in any case, we've also got to the stage where we're pastcaring (just like the name! :D ) - a good time will be had by all - rain or shine! ;):)

Just looking at Metcheck forecast again.

Friday looks awful on the 14 day forecast, but look at the same day on the 7 day forecast and it is much better-lower wind speeds and much less rain. How odd-but welcome.

As Pastcaring says you can't completely trust the weather forecast.

Last year it was to the left of Magical sounds tent, top left. There was a line of trees to the far left (not shown on this map) between camping and live in vehicles. Efest camp was to the right of the trees so in a nut shell:- the top left corner of the camping area to the left of magical sounds.

Last year someone posted a satellite image with a cross on it which was real handy so hopefully someone may do thet again.

Think I read that the camping capacity on the licence is 7500, so at 3000 ticket holders it should be very capacious.

Local-ish weather report (from Sheffield) is that it has been sunny and quite windy all weekend so far. Good for drying out the ground.

I've updated the Clashfinder but remember the times are probably all over the place, just use it for the search options before you go and buy a programme when you get there.

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
