Surprised only three centre halves have been picked. I'd have picked Lescott - he's better than Smalling currently anyway.

Campbell should be no where near the squad.

I'd have promoted Oxlade-Chamberlain from the under 21s too.

Downing and Young are having far worse seasons than The Ox. Far worse.

Slightly harsh on Young. He started the season great and got unfortunate with an injury. Showed a bit more form recently.

The Ox has looked great, but only really started playing this past month.

I would agree that I would have picked him over Young though.

Young helped turn 6-2 wins into 8-2, 3-0 into 5-0. I'm yet to see him put in a performance that turns a draw into a win. I've seen him put in some awful ones though.

But yeah, he's nowhere near as bad as Downing.

If Downing was right footed he'd never have played for England, and never played for better than an average top flight side - it could be argued of course he's never done the second part...winky smiley thing...

Anyone think that if one of the Manchester clubs win the Europa and meet one of the El Clasico in the UEFA Super Cup they could win? Granted it is a bit of exhibition match but a few million and bragging rights wouldn't go a miss.

Saying that, the way European football is just now it could be anyones...except El Clasico haha

Too true. I love Rafa but hardly the choice to inspire that bunch of egos. It would be a full on power struggle.

I watched (just) the first 20 minutes and they were waaaay on top and berba was looking very sharp. Couldn't believe it when I saw later they'd lost.

I see the Dutch supporters were up to their usual tricks last night. Seriously, how they get away with very little media coverage astounds me. Their hooligan problem is worse than England in the 70s and 80s, and worse than the Italians now.

I can see Moxey and Morgan being unpopular in the Black Country right now....stating at the outset the vacancy required an experienced manager, being turned down by all and sundry, before finally appointing the assistant...not great PR.

Still, hope TC does a job for them.
