His kick out at the Leeds player after he lost the ball was a ''class act'' was it?

I respect Henry's talent but I hate his arrogant,self-serving attitude.I read that he has become more humble and thought of himself more as a team player rather than an individual these days yet I still saw him being petulent when balls weren't given to him and kick out at that Leeds lad.

that's fucking outrageous.

I can't see how the Rodwell red card against Liverpool was over-turned but this one wasn't. They were quite similar, but the Kompany one was less 'dangerous play' because there was less of any foot up and wasn't a lunge towards a player.

Presumably the FA didn't want to upset their star England player by showing that he got it wrong. Or maybe there was a manager they didn't want to upset who suggested his star player didn't get it wrong.

What's the point of the appeal process when there's no consistency to it?

He was a split second away from ending a career with a challenge like that. He may not have, and he may have even got the ball, these things don't matter when you dive in 2-footed with studs showing.

He'd got the ball clear long before Nani arrived. The fact that Nani didn't think it could have been pretended as a foul gets to show it was never a foul.

If that was a red then every kick at the ball is a red, because another player might come and lie down somewhere near that kicking player's studs sometime in the next twenty minutes.

It was less of a red than the Rodwell red that was recinded.

C'mon - fess up. You're only pleased because it makes the win against City a legitimate win and not handed to you on a plate by the ref.

yep, that's pretty much how I see it too - tho I'd say there was more about the Rodwell challenge that could have deemed it dangerous than there was with this one, so if the Rodwell one wasn't a deserved red then this one couldn't have been.

Hughes at QPR. Seems a bit odd to me, he left Fulham because of their supposed lack of ambition, but QPR aren't going to be giving him stupid money to spend, and are a lot further away than Fulham from the top atm. I mean, Fulham could make a reasonable attempt at a cup every season, occassionally the Europa League, QPR are hoping to remain in the Prem and possibly build.

It wasn't a red. It can't have been a red if Rodwell's wasn't a red. Utd fans with an IQ in excess of 70 have realised it wasn't a red.

Rodwell was a bit different in its nature (a bit less two footed) but probably had the same level of "danger"... So I agree... Lack of consistency there...

Nope - Rodwell's WAS two footed; both his feet with studs up made contact with Suarez ... tho only very lightly.

There was no studs-up contact made with Nani (it would have been hard to have that contact, Nani was 5 yards away at the time), and only one of Kompany's boots was studs up (but as low to the ground as it was possible to be, not 6 inches up in the air as it was with Rodwell).

His leg is bent back and the contact is with the front of his knee / top of his shin... His stoods are pointing the opposite direction.

Simple facts are. He was in the air, both feet, studs up. If he had made contact it would have very easily been a broken leg or worse.
