can't see 'Arry taking a no-money job. Then again, I'm not sure what job he'd get in this country now.

Still, we'll get to see if the stories he's been feeding the press to try and get an improved contract with huge extra money about being wanted in the middle east for huge money are true or not.

And it's all rather strange for a man who swore on the bible in court that he's not interested in money. Perhaps he should be got back into court for perjury?

I don't, but I can't believe they've been outspending plenty of other clubs who've also upgraded theirs whilst being ion a far better financial position than Everton are.

But anyway, at the end of the day a training pitch is a training pitch. It's only as good as the players who are put on it and what they're told to do.

To be fair such things do help and are so important, specially with youth development, but its adding margins to players abilities... Its not doing anything radical...

The GB cycle team would win nothing if it wasn't for their god given abilities... No amount of training would turn Crouch into Messi....

You are right to an extent, the training and facilities help, but its only margins... and margins can matter big time... but there is a limit...

Look what proper training facilities and infrastructure did for UK cycling.

yep - because they have something way above what any of the competition have.

That's something that Everton don't have. Everton might have decent facilities, but so does everyone else.

Has Messi benefited from training with Barca... Of course he has... Would he never of become one of the best players in the world without it... Utter bollocks...

He wouldn't of lasted long at Rochdale before being picked up...

You are on a different planet :)

Your post is making little sense...

And we have already identified the reasons why and the benefits it brings... So your last point seems silly.. Its just your well over egging the benefits they bring...

Evertons will be better than most in the Premier League

really? How do you know that, or are you guessing?

I'd put money on Soton having better facilities, as an example. As for the more regular Prem clubs, while some of their 'new' facilities might be a little older than Everton's, it's not like they'll be ignoring what is regarded as the current bast practice, or failing to upgrade their facilities to meet that best practice - and nearly all those other clubs have the money to keep them current, while Everton don't.

My point is that this is what Moyes legacy will be at Everton, putting proper modern facilities in place, not playing glorious football, or winning a load of trophies but ensuring that the facilities and infrastructure at Everton are up there with the best in league.

that's a legacy accreditable to someone that every major club has within about the last ten years. It doesn't make Everton or Moyes anything special.

id be gutted to see moyes go, though interested to see if this situation may force kenwrights hand. Some of moyes decisions sometimes are a little suprising which I think is why he has some doubters, playing mcfadden over barkley at the end of the season then releasing him for example.

I think the problem with you is you don't realise when someone is mostly in agreement with you....

10 million might buy you one decent player... but 10 million in a training facility can improve every player by x %, including youngsters... Its makes perfect sense to do it...

But it won't turn a Scott Parker into a Messi...

Really or are you only just guessing?

Chelsea have had new facilities, Spurs have had new facilities, Arsenal have had new facilities, City have had new facilities, etc, etc, etc.

It's been all the rage in the last ten years or so, for just about all clubs - just as it's been with stadiums. And while most of the clubs who've had new facilities have also either had new stadiums or major upgrades to their stadiums, Everton haven't - because out of all the clubs out there they're the ones with least money to spend on just about anything ... which is likely to include their facilities too.

I'm not trying to knock Everton's facilities, I'm merely pointing out that it's exceedingly unlikely they're anything like as special - above what other clubs have - as you're believing.

Far from scientific but to show why Soton are perhaps investing in new Training facilities, this is there current/ old set up

This is Everton's

Spurs are currently well behind Everton's, they are in the process of building this though-
