He's currently making a complete arse of himself on twitter if anyone like car crash stuff. Although it is a shame we're speaking about that loon after what was a wonderful conclusion to a title race.

Roll on next season. I think we'll come 7th.

. Sneijder would probably be too much on the wages, and the fee he'd command for his age wouldn't represent a good long-term investment. He plays just behind the striker as well.

RVP might be hedging his bets, I certainly agree he won't move within the Prem, but maybe Milan? Juve? Bayern? I think there's quite a few teams he'd move to if they put a bid in.

I hope west ham lose just purely because they were the worst footballing team i've seen down ashton gate in ages. I always knew big sam loved a bit of route one but it was just painful to watch, with kevin nolan being the worst culprit.

Vaz te is shit hot though and should be in the prem next season regardless.

McLeish has left Villa according to The Times.

Contradicting reports about McLeish, some saying he's left some saying he's sacked.

whichever one it is - sacked probably, he doesn't strike me as the leaving kind of guy - it's hardly the shock of the season.

He can't even do mediocre with his lovely brand of anti-football.

It was unbelieveable, as a season ticket holder for 30 years at Man City I thought I had witnessed everything until yesterday.

I didn't even see the 2nd goal from Dzeko as I had my head in my hands. I was stood behind the goal right in line with the Aguero goal and I have never been in a goal celebration like that.

I'm really hungover and need some sleep but I will be heading straight to the parade after work tonight. It was the greatest sporting moment of my life.

Sneijder is 27, Bergkamp was 26 when he came to the premiership and Zola 30. Its fine thinking about the long term but you also need to think short term as well, to ensure the younger players have a platform ready to take things on when they get the experience. Man Utd have only 1 really big name player who should be at their peak in Rooney, they are screaming out for someone to share some of the responsibility. Im sure he would come at a high cost but theres no way they will keep pace with man city on the cheap.

As for RVP, I just cant see him moving to any of those sides. He likes london, he is the captain and comfortably the main man at Arsenal. Inter are currently a mess, Milan are in a big transition with Gatusso, Inzaghi, Nesta, Seedorf, Van Bommel all on the way out. From the top of my head I cant remember much history of anyone other than the top 2 spanish sides tempting the best English players ni recent years.

You sound like a politician on the morning of polling day, trying to dampen down expectations! Theres no reason at all that liverpool shouldnt finish above both newcastle and everton. In fact i would have 5th as absolute minimum requirment for Kenny to keep his job.

Actually I said Juve rather than Inter, with them having just won Serie A again. And depends how you define recent, Flamini went to Italy. Bayern are in the Champs final and will be looking to improve to get the Bundesliga back. He could win trophies and get his wages doubled moving to Italy/Bayern.

If we spend the net £20m we're rumoured to (basically the remainder of the Carroll money) at equivalent quality:price ratio then there's a reason they shouldn't. I don't think the Liverpool squad, centre-backs aside, has much more depth than ours either. Still think Liverpool will finish above us next season though, first Europa campaign will take its toll, we just need to try and get back into it somehow next season.

I think Juventus will need to do it over a few years before they start attracting the really big names. As for Bayern I dont think the Bundesliga has the glamour to attract a big name first choice player from the big teams in England or Spain. The only example I can think of is Robben but Madrid were deperate to get rid of him. I dont think you can underestimate the pull that London has for foreign players as well.

I think theres every reason they shouldnt finish 5th but if they arent achieving better than par perfomances its probably time to change the manager with Kenny unlikely to be a long term option. Liverpools squad may be comparible to Newcastle however newcastle will find it harder to keep hold of their best players than liverpool. Also liverpool offer better wages and should be able to get better players in that newcastle, then again that was the case last season as well!

I just don't get Barton...

I think some where in his head he really thinks his behaviour is somewhat normal

to him it very probably is.

Remember, this is the guy whose brother carried out a racist murder for no other reason than it seemed like a fun thing to do. While I'm not trying to tar Joey with anything of his brother's doing it does say something about the sort of environment he was raised in.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
