Assou-Ekotto's followed Bale in saying he'll be looking to leave Spurs for a bigger club if they don't make the Champs. Says he's got an agreement with Levy from January about that.

A lot of pressure on the club to win, while their best players are probably confident they can get moves so might not pull out all the stops, particularly as Chelski could still pip them via winning it.

I don't think he's a top player either. A good left back, but not that good. He's had an excellent season tbf, but yeah, he's being a w*nker.

I think what's most ridiculous is that he's said it now. Why not wait a week and see how the club does? I think that's increased their chances of screwing up at the weekend.

Your in with a good chance of finishing above the noisy neighbours now. Not as convinced about jonjo, gut instinct says Leon osman level at best, then again Liverpool haven't produced many players as good as osman in the last 10 years.

I want to keep him after the last couple of months now he's got his head in the game it seems...

Not worth 35m of course, but he looks really useful recently. Actually be a bit disappointed if we got rid after persevering this long with him.

One of the worst tackles Ive ever seen.

gotta agree. That deserved a red.

So, Barmby has been sacked from Hull, and matey who wrote that Blackburn letter has been sacked too - both for talking the sort of sense the clubs need to act on, but where both upset the ego of the owners.

Two clubs that are heading for extinction pretty quickly by the look of things.

It gets worse every time I watch it. Horrific.

The retrospective punishment rules really are ridiculous. Surely as long as the referee says "If I'd seen as much at the time as I have now on video I would have sent him off" it doesn't undermine them?

That's the world we live in, not just football. Talking sense that contradicts someone gets you sacked.

I've just noticed that if on Sunday Arsenal lose by one goal and Spurs draw then they both end up on the same points with the same goal difference - so Arsenal will finish above Spurs on goals scored.

Have any Prem teams ever been split for their finishing position on goals scored? Or would that be the first time?

I dunno, he's only just 20. He has a hell of a lot of confidence even if he's quite raw, which is important. He imposes himself on a game and isn't afraid to have a go. He's better than Leon Osman was at the same stage in development anyway.

Though really maybe I should be praising the big man more. Another good game, what's the world coming to!

    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
