If I was Chelsea I would possibly think about shipping him out on loan somewhere. Get him out of England and away from the premier league and the media for a few months or a year. Send him to Holland or France, or similar standard league, see if he can find his scoring boots out there.

I can see Moxey and Morgan being unpopular in the Black Country right now....stating at the outset the vacancy required an experienced manager, being turned down by all and sundry, before finally appointing the assistant...not great PR.

My observations from the weekend. Average performance but the result is all that counts for liverpool. I never expected cardiff to be so close, but thought liverpool were a bit nervy. I have heard a few people on the radio/internet mocking liverpool for the perfromance, however I think in this incident it was all about getting the win. Man utd have got 2 champions league titles from 4 finals in which they havent played much above average in any. It probably to some degree affects their legacy (particularly overseas) however if your a fan of man utd you dont care how the games were won. Its funny how people talk about peaties being a lottery, I have never seen any stats but I would suspect the better team wins a significant majority.

League results didnt go too well for liverpool with both chelsea and arsenal picking up wins. As I have said before I am no huge Arry fan, I think he is good when plan A is working but when the plan doesnt work Im not sure he has either the players of the tactical nous for a plan b. As for Man Utd, they are still scraping wins but its all about 3 points, amazing at his age that Giggs can still make an impact when really needed.

As for things down the bottom, QPR look no better to me with Hughes instead of Warnock, I thought they would pull away with the spending but players look low on confidence. Have heard a lot of people say Bolton should look for a new manager. I disagree, fact is that they have been living beyond their means for years and the well has run dry. The fact is that Bolton probably cannot maintain a premiership club with their debt and crowds, they have been spoiled by consecutive seasons in the top league, but may have to accept that they will return back to being a yo-yo club. I dont see how sacking coyle will solve the problem, they will just have to waste money paying him off. They may not go down this season, but if a team is in the bottom 6 spenders in the league consistently they will go down sooner, rather than later.

I think your second sentence demonstrates his problem of huge inconsistency. Walcott is mainly remember for goals against croatia for England and other than that has done nothing for England. At Arsenal he has a few great games a season, along with many more terrible ones, a top level player needs more good/very good games in between the great and terrible ones.
