Pieminster....Hmmmmmmm!

Pieminster rocked again ( heggety peggety and the Matador) with the mothership filling every crack and crevice of my demanding gut.....washed down with that cold fizzy pear stuff ...hmmmmmmmmmmm.

And as for the queue at Ollis for the fried cheese..... well it was worth the wait everytime...the ultimate snack.

But what did it for you this year....and which is the best pieminster flavour?

Oddly enough I didn't have a single Pieminister pie this festival. The problem is that our local supermarket now stocks them so I'd had my fill before we got there. I like their Matador pie best (beef & chorizo). Loved the chicken, ham & leak pie from the Square Pie place though. Haven't had one of theirs in ages as Pieminister was our usual pie stop for the past few festivals.

I did have a pieminister myself on the Sunday. But still probably prefer square pie. What don't like about pieminister us that they put the mash and peas on the top so you have to eat through them to get to the pie. Would prefer a bigger container so mash and peas could be on side so can mix and match as you desire. May sound a bit pedantic but it did annoy me

Why are you sounding so suspicious about Pie Minister, hmmmmm? Surely they're just good honest pastry-based products. Nothing sinister about them.

Been meaning to have a Pieminister for so long- held off anywhere other than glasto- n finally did on thursday.

Dragged a bunch of mates who were very sceptical - and I was worried that I'd bigged them up too much...

No worries in the end though - best meal of the festival and all agreed!!!

Henny Penny with mash and minted peas was just incredible! utterly worth the wait and hype!!!

not waiting two years til my next - needs to stock up at sainsburys!!

I didn't have one at Glastonbury (I live in Bristol - home of Pieminister - so tend to go for food I can't get at other times), but the best is the Chicken of Aragon, no question.

I didn't do Pie Minster this time, but Square Pie had my custom on two occasions. I had the chicken, leek and ham the first time and teh steak and mushroom the second. Both blooming yummy *slurp*

I managed one square pie and two Pie Mins! I have always loved Pie Min but for some reason (money?) I've never gone all out with the Mothership. I will never have it without the shallots ever again - AMAZING.

Well having had my Glastonbury cut short by 4 days, husband has made up for it by buying us some for dinner. Moo and Blue, Chicken of Aragorn, and another Beefy one i can't remember the name of. So I'm content now. Even if it wasn't in a muddy field!

i like this thread and i like Pieminister. i even went so far as to photograph my Glastonbury Pieminister to post on these very pages.

then, the other night i had a look on the Pieminister website. drink had been taken.

if you wish to buy online you have to purchase a minimum of 12 pies. when you add in the p&p the total bill is over £50.

so i awoke the following morning with a sore head and a dented bank account. i have to admit i felt a tad sheepish about what i had done.

until today.

the good thing about blowing over £50 on pies is that a few days later LOADS OF PIES ARRIVE!!!!

the money is spent. now it's time to eat!
