Ah I know for a fact the Vaccines are third rate headlining so I should of implemented that.

They are playing on the saturday so I think I can update my prediction to

Rolling Stones

Florence + The Machine

The Vaccines.

My friend "Isaiah Dreads" who made it to the final 8 in emerging talent, and got a slot at a lower stage this year. Went to an audition, and was auditioning to play the pyramid, early on the saturday. He asked the judge who else would be performing on the saturday, and who would he be excited to see. The judge responded saying the vaccines were playing a big slot this year, and he was excited to see how that would plan out.

You can choose not to believe me if you want but this is just what i've heard.

To be fair if most of us took our personal tastes out the equation Arctics, The Stones and Mumford are a good set of headliners with all bases covered. An established current headliner, a heritage act and a new up and coming band. Fair play Glasto if that's what they have lined up... as long as the Pumpkins are playing and not clashing with the Stones that is ;)

Yeah fair point, no problem with the headliners although I only want to see 1 (but generally I prefer just 1 night at the pyramid so works out well for me), it's just the undercards being thrown about that seem incredibly uninspired.

Chase and status, plan b, vaccines, noel Gallagher, dizzee rascal

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
