Well the ones that have been mentioned/talked about currently seem to be, Mumford and Sons, Kanye West, The Strokes and Wham. But obviously depending on The Stones answer it could be 2 of the above. Although there may even be someone else appear out of nowhere as Kanye and The Strokes have this week.

So all in all, we know nothing

it ain't gonna be Blur. too soon (even if they are desperate for a headliner). Pulp... i just don't see them as a headliner anymore, personally. they had to co-headline R/Ls with The Strokes, and that was off the back of the reunion hype, which has now gone. if they were to play i think it'd be subbing. Roger Waters... i just can't see it myself. i doubt there would be a massive amount of interest in him (prove me wrong, though), Radiohead have said they're not doing anything/Atoms For Peace are touring around then, The Who i'm sure were dismissed on here for one reason or another, and the Moody Blues... nah

some of them are a SLIGHT possibility, but all pretty damn unlikely

Hmm... there was a time when I still had hope for the Sunday night. But really? I'm normally not that negative but:

i) M&S - Just don't do it for me. Possibly my preference though because they're huge right now and don't seem that dislikeable on a personal basis (despite the poshness)

ii) Kanye - Being a **** again at Hammersmith. Had a lot of friends updating statuses/Tweeting/sending carrier pigeons saying that it was a horrible gig. Don't like the person, don't really like his music, don't see why we need a 3rd Roc-a-Fella promotional set of recent years.

iii) Strokes - quite like their music but, by all accounts, dreadful live. Seem past their prime anyway.

iv) Just don't thinnk they have any relevance whatsoever to the festival-going public. Go and ask a friend who is going to Gbury and isn't on these forums, and they will laugh at you if you suggest Wham as headliners.

I don't think there is any realistic chance of iii) or iv) anyway, so i) or ii) looks likely.

Is there seriously no other names still in the mix? What about

i) Pulp

ii) Roger Waters

iii) Radiohead

iv) Neil Young

v) The Who

vi) Moody Blues

vii) Blur

None of those are options?

isn't one of Arcade Fire heavily pregnant? so that would seemingly rule them out i think. and unless Gaga plans on making a very quick recovery from her hip surgery she looks unlikely (i have no idea how long recovery from hip surgery takes, mind)

i agree that it's probably going to be Mumfords. anything else will be a big surprise

I saw a clip of them doing Love Reign Over Me from their US tour the other day, and Daltrey, somehow, seems to be singing better than he has been for a while. Pete is as good,if not better, than ever... they finish the UK tour just before Glasto...

could do it... I don't remember seeing a reason why not

AF are recording their new album, but Regine is apparently very pregnant atm so she'd either still be pregnant at the time of Glastonbury or have a new born baby to look after. unlikely i think

Gaga doesn't have any more dates. she cancelled everything, so unless she reschedules all the cancelled ones around the time of Glastonbury i'd say it's unlikely she'll just do Glastonbury after recovering from surgery

I think Roger Waters would be a massive booking for the festival. The numbers of tickets he's shifted around the world in the last 3 years or so is testament to that.

He won't play though. It would take a monumental effort to shoe-horn the current Wall tour onto the pyramid stage when there's other acts playing all through the weekend, and I very much doubt he'll do a non-Wall set when that's all his band have played for the last 3 years.

I'm wondering if it could be something like this (based on little things Neil has heard and just general convo on here).

Arctic Monkeys

Dizzee Rascal

The Rolling Stones

Kanye West

Mumford and Sons

The Strokes

Now the reason I put Kanye as subbing, was because, I believe he was meant to be subbing last year, and there would then be enough crowd movement between the sub and headliner.

Mumfords for Sunday would make more sense for me as it would more than keep the locals happy.

Now no doubt someone will throw me a tour date that rules it out, but just my current thought.

    • With stage times out I got my schedule planned:   Wolf Alice -> Jade -> The Cure -> Dying Wish   Napalm Death -> Little Simz -> Ecca Vandal -> Ethel Cain -> Khana Bierbood -> Gorillaz -> Kneecap   Folk Bitch Trio -> Milkweed -> Maruja -> Addison Rae -> David Byrne   Eee Gee -> The Callous Daoboys -> Igorrr -> Lily Allen -> Jane Remover -> Zara Larsson     Very chuffed with how Weds and Thurs has lined up, and last 2 days is a few big acts for me (Byrne, Zara, Igorrr, Maruja) sprinkled with stuff I'm curious to check out! The online moaning about the lineup has happened for every Roskilde ive attended, but the festival is always a blast when on site!
    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
