Any idea when we're going to get the dates/times for the Avalon Stage? Loads of acts on there I want to see but not knowing when/where they're playing is making things a bit difficult...

If the line up is correct and the times match up to last years (which all looks highly unlikely as there are either spaces for more bands, they're starting later or playing longer sets):

21:30 Guillemots

20:00 KT Tunstall

18:30 Chumbawamba

17:00 Katzenjammer

15:40 Mama Rosin

14:20 3 Daft Monkeys

13:00 Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs

Avalon Stage saturday

23:25 Flogging Molly

21:45 Newton Faulkner

20:15 CW Stoneking

18:45 DeVotchka

17:15 Lau

15:45 Danny and the Champs

14:15 Admiral Fallow

12:50 ??????

11:30 ??????

Avalon Stage sunday

22:45 Shooglenifty

21:05 City and Colour

19:35 The Low Anthem

18:05 Show of Hands

16:35 The Popes

f**ksticks.

That means there will be yet ANOTHER Friday evening act in my ever increasing clash - K T Tunstall. That Friday from 6 until about 10 is an utter c**t for clashes. There's about 10 acts I want to see and will probably be able to squeeze about 2 or 3 in max. I wouldn't mind but there's knack all on Saturday I'm bothered about apart from Elbow!

Twatknacker.

Great news City and Colour are on the Sunday night though, I was hoping they wouldn't clash with anyone else I really wanted to see

That running order may give Kitty Daisy & Lewis a good crowd in the run up to The Wombles! This is great news because they are a great little band. Their sound lies in that space in the mid 50s just between Swing and RocknRoll and the sound is really raw and authentic, yet I think they are all still under 20! I hope the early arrivals for The Wombles appreciate them!

Few changes there from what's previously been seen. Guillemots now on Saturday. The Beat on Friday.

Three bands I'd liked to have seen will be missed on Friday because of clashes but I might get to see a bit of The Popes before legging it to see Paul Simon.

Some good stuff been put on at The Cafe as well. Should be worth a few visits.

    • I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?
    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
    • Cat Power Wilco Whatever combination of Avalon Emerson and Aldous I manage to see Ken Pomeroy Sparks with an honourable mention to Neve Cariad
