assuming they are, probably NME after SBTRKT. Be announced at a later date. But obviously that depends on if they are playing. But Mike will be there so it's not unlikely.

Based on last year's schedule the tent is full that day. I know that isn't 100% info to go on but I wouldn't be surprised if they were the guests in the lock-up or weren't playing at all.

He seems to only be taking headline slots which may have been seen as a weak booking by some, but he and the two backing bands were incredible just now.

Why would it be a rush announcement? V isn't even R/L competition anymore, and it's booked with a set time that information will be released. Determined at the time of booking.

It was a rush announcement, or a cock-up (I'm not entirely sure which).

That announcement was scheduled for next week originally. The press office didn't have the press releases written up.

To quote what we were told by the press office....

We were originally planning on announcing the names next Monday, but there was a mix up with Radio 1 who revealed the names a week early... bit of a nightmare!

It's not really a 'leak' though, that suggests deliberately releasing information that you know you shouldn't. The BBC wouldn't do that to FR, this was accidental.

Ben folds five have reformed and are touring the uk at the end of the year. New album out in August too.

Any chance of them headlining festival republic stage?
