Foo Fighter and Arctic Monkeys

I think people are being quite harsh on both these bands. Okay, there is little chance of either playing. Foo's won't as they've been announced at IOW. Arctic's are highly unlikely, and if announced for V, then will be certain. However, both are very good bands. Alex Turner is a lyrical genius if you actually take the time to look at his work. They may not have ad the best support in 2009, but this doesn't instantly make them a terrible band. I don't believe it would upset many if they were announced again. I certainly wouldn't mind. Rather either of these to MCR anyday.

As last year it seemed MCR SoundGarden and Linkin Park would be all playing in 2010 which turn out to be completely wrong. Could history be repeating and rather then MCR and Linkin Park this year is there any reilable info about who will be playing at reading

Pretty sure there was QOTSA and Arcade Fire. Or QOTSA was around Feb, once they announced they were touring Europe in August.

On the subject of Arctic Monkeys, I think they're a quality act, who will be headliners for years to come. I really like how they've grown and changed their style, otherwise they would have been a flash in the pan. I think in 10 years time they'll be as bigger than ever and still headlining, they're big all throughout Europe too.

artics are poor live. 5 or 6 people have all ready said, they played a few years ago and didn't go down well. there going to be at v fest anyway. so no chance for them

foos are at I.O.W. all ready a few people have said they wont come to r+l for exclusivity reasons,i am coming round to the idear of them playing instead of green day or my chemical romance, i still dont see foos playing.

if i was going to say a surprise headliner, i would say R.E.M
