I'm going to have to disagree that this line up is correct. I also have a friend who works Reading and Leeds and I have been asking him. Yet, his response is always that he cannot say as if rumours get it he'll lose his job. So I wonder how comes the people who post on here's friends aren't worried about their job if the mass of the line up gets leaked 4 months early. Anyway my friend has told me a few bands that have NOT been contacted - I guess they are allowed to do that - They are The Strokes and MCR. But he won't tell me who has. Although he let on that Muse is likely. He also didn't say no when I mentioned The Killers, Blur or Eminem. I realise this is 4, but it's hard to work out without him actually telling me. I realise I have no solid evidence to prove to you that this is true, and he may well be lying, although I don't see why he would. But then again, what I'm trying to say is, this person who stated the line up at the beginning of the thread is definitely true, may have also been lying. Here is a situation of two people who know people who work for Reading Festival. One of them is not telling the truth. If not both. Until we see the line up, nothing is set in stone. All I'm saying is, every suggestion that is claimed to be certainly correct should be taken with a pinch of salt, even my suggestions above. They are interesting to read though.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
