Is anyone else going to xfm's winter wonderland? The London leg has a 'special secret guest' which they let slip last week was a big Brit pop act...I assumed suede bit now their websites made a big deal about the reunion (bigger than the libertines and blur's I seem to remember)...

I'm probably putting two and two together and getting ten but is it possible?

Argh in so excited! They have to be at glasto!!

Your an idiot if you think a returning Pulp performance would be an Other Stage slot. An idiot. I'll say it again. An idiot. I'm sorry but I'm not sure how Pulp reuniting can get the same slot as Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Orbital and the Flaming Lips have in recent years. No disrespect to any of those bands but Pulp returning commands a bigger slot than previous slots that have happened on the Other stage.

I'm praying that they are there though. It would be much easier than to having trek down to hyde park. Granted I'll get a ticket anyway for Hyde Park just in case, but with the cost and the fact I'd have to go down by myslef, Glastonbury would be much easier. What a fantastic band though. I've been waiting for this day for what seems ages. Great news :D

Just had a thought. How about Sunday night goes like this:

Prince

Pulp

Not saying Pulp don't deserve to headline because they genuinely do. But I think that Prince's ego wouldn't let him do anything else but headline. What a fantastic night it would be though.

Truly fantastic news. My guess is that they will headline the Other stage if they are looking to engage the likes of U2 and the Stones. I've never seen them before and believe it or not only did the Friday at Glasto in '95 as I felt so guilty about my Mrs being heavily pregnant with our first daughter back home.

    • There’s a few in there which could go either way or I’m not bothered if I miss but think that’s now be pretty set.  Few rubbish clashes like Kasabian/Loyle plus Reytons/Pixies/CMAT but I’ll head with the lads to the most popular one.   (And yes no Byrne or Twigs, just can’t into either)
    • I saw somewhere they were advertising Lewis' day as him live on Glagow Green and only mentioned Amy Mcdonald and CMAT as support, 0 mention of the festival  I completely agree this will probably be the last one which is a shame because the first 2 seemed so promising and now its turned into middle of the road rubbish with acts you can see everywhere else  Anyone know if the BBC are covering it next week as it'll be fascinating to see how full (or empty) it is
    • Did anyone catch Viagra Boys last night? A rollicking good set, with a little more free jazz than I expected.   if you’re up early, Walabi is doing a super job in the Cupra Pulse. There till six.

    • They really dropped a bollock on their lineup this year. They went with Richard Ashcroft because he did well as Oasis support - But realistically, you're not getting 50k people in a field to hear the 4 or 5 songs they know at like £70+ a ticket. Can't get my head around the Kasabian booking, either. Finsbury Park was a bold move for them, and yes it sold out, but I think you're more likely to see people make the journey to London if they want to see them rather than Glasgow. A second similar capacity show was always going to be a big ask for them.
