John Peel Stage

most of the acts mentioned in this thread are far too big.

gogol bordello, manics, chems, phoenix, ian brown and friendly fires would all be nailed on pyramid or other, and high up as well.

would like to see: Wild beasts (again, but they wont be touring most likely), factory floor, late of the pier (if they ever come back). As for headliners its hard to say. Tends to be reformed bands these days or ones on their way out (ash for example), there's very few new bands capable of filling the tent these days.

tough to call as well cos many possible headliners are interchangable with the park stage.

would like to see some real alternative acts in there though.

I absolutely love two of the OP's suggestions but sadly Phoenix are unlikely as they've toured Wolfgang to death and seem to be winding down, and TVOTR are having a little break whilst their members rock their solo projects.

It's a toughie though - the JP stage is the one I always find the hardest to predict headliners for (apart from West Holts, but I think that's different because I EXPECT to be surprised by that stage!)

I'd agree with Glasvegas being a good shout, as would Marling.

I wouldn't be suprised at seeing TV On The Radio either.

Pavement might be interesting too - providing they decide to continue with their reunion. Sort of arguable whether they're too big to play it or not, I mean, Ash did Headline the pyramid in the 90's, and they were playing JP this year.
