Just before the tickets went on sale our local radio station stated she was a rumour to be playing. She's done Coachella or whatever it's called, so I'm wondering. She is due a new album and Glastonbury is an ideal platform for promoting purposes. No doubt it would give her the exposure she'd love. Could it be she is the American Eavis has been after? And let's face it she is an old act having been going 30 odd years now. The whole field singing Holiday? Possible I reckon.

Yeah and: "Only if she walks out arse naked with Beyonce, both with the old rabbits nostrils glistening in the sun like a slick of gulf oil, and perform vile lesbian yet athletic sexual acts on each other while an animated 3D John Bonham plays the intro to When the Levee Breaks.".

Betcha some twat will post that.

I think I brought this idea up on another thread. Big, long established act, female and American. Could be the clues Eavis was dropping. TBH I can't stand the talentless, gap toothed, child stealing old hag and think it would be waste of cash for the festival to pay what she would want, but each to their own.

personal preferences and all that, but it is ridiculous to slate an artist like Madonna. She is pretty much one of the (if not the) most successful female acts of all time, with massive album sales in the last 3 decades. I am not a fan, but had to accompany my mrs to see her at Wembley Arena a couple of years ago for the Confessions Tour as the friend she was going with dropped out last minute and to be honest, it was a spectacular show. If she does get a headline slot, she will work the crowd.

    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
