re the pics of the site looking fairly mud free - I live in glastonbury and drive past the site every day. Lets just say that the road past the main gate (the A361) is covered in mud tracked out by lorries cars etc. The amount of rain we've had here lately will not soak away that quickly so unless we get a decent dry wind with sunshine and heat it's going to be a mudbath - only difference being if not much rain for a while it'll be a "claggy" mud and if raining a soft and squelchy mud.......

Bring wellies etc and lots and lots of socks - make sure you dry your feet thoroughly and back into CLEAN DRY socks afterwards otherwise its another trench foot epidemic. Don't think to buy them around site as they'll be priced somewhat competitively and around here local shops already putting a mark up on. A poncho from army surplus works well and packs small too!

If I'm wrong and its dry you'll have spent £15 prior to arrival if its wet and you buy stuff on site you'll be looking at £25 for wellies alone.......

See you there - I'll be in a 4X4 with my wellies!

If you're wellies are only 8 inches high, dont go through 8 inch puddles ;) As for mud, if its higher than 8 inches and you have knee-high wellies, you aint gonna be able to walk through it anyway without the mud pulling your boots off!

Positive weather is er... slightly more positive, I hope I'm not repeat posting :)

The shift towards slightly better weather continues, but without getting too carried away, rain flanks either side of the festival aswell, so changeable conditions are certain. That said, sunshine and showers appears to be the running theme, although for most of the time the rain won't be heavy and prolonged, just showery in nature. During the drier spells, temperatures will climb quite smartly and we can expect some pleasant conditions, but on the whole, expect an unsettled but not altogether miserable passage of weather. One thing past festivals has taught me, even some rain can cause a mudbath, and whilst the likelihood of this is decreasing, chickens shouldn't be counted just yet.

    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
    • Been last time in 2018 when the festival was happening in parque Bela vista. ls the new location good for such a big festival? What's the temperature in the evening near Tejo? Should we bring a raincoat or a jacket?
