Really enjoyed that, I saw the end bit but will need someone to explain. I have a feeling it's someone we've seen before but if it is, I've forgotten who they are.

Either that or it was just some bloke.

I think it was the guy who he met in season one who had the walkie talkie, then popped up again as a bit of a nutcase last season or the one before.

Ha love reading theorys in here when im a comic reader so I know whats gunna happen, I won't comment.

Great episode, however, we only got a glimpse of badass Rick, he wanted to take the whole place down and the rest of the group just pussied out. Thats a shame, Gareth is clearly still alive, who is a character who isn't in the comics so that part of the story I dont know what will happen, for those who havent read the comics or never will, I'll put here Terminus is an expansion of a brief storyline in the comics but there is never a place known as Terminus, the storyline just takes place in a town its very short and done with, but with this is Rick's rebirth as a badass, this was glossed over last night with Carol giving Rick Judith back which changed Ricks emotional state and made him choose to leave the people at Terminus and not seek vengeance.

SPOILER FROM COMIC NOT TV HIGHLIGHT TO REVEAL, THIS IS DEALING WITH PAST AND CURRENT AND SHOULDN'T GIVE ANYTHING AWAY FOR FUTURE TV

At this point in the comic, Both Judith and Carol and others still on screen have already died, both died in the prison, Daryl doesn't exist in the comics, however certain other characters such as Andrea and even Dale are still alive in the comic at this point. So there wasn't this option of the reunited Father and Daughter to calm Rick down

The original source of Terminus plot in the comic happens with this next part of the story it appears is going to be shown on TV so maybe they'll do it like that on TV now. So maybe there is still a chance of badass Rick to happen. I hope so

And by the way, the guy at the end who you are all referring to, his name is Morgan and its at this point he joins up with the group in the comic too so thats completely on track, however he joined when Rick went to where he left him, they did the storyline where he refused to join because he wasn't free to film any of season 4 but it was always the plan for him to join up for this part of the story for season 5.

The fact Judith is dead in the comics is going to make me think every week she's a gonner. I also think maybe Gareth will become Negan. I wonder due to broadcasting laws how much of Negan's storyline can be transposed to the series. As you say they've toned down the badass aspect. Kirkman has said Negan didn't appear in the opening episode - but I was sure the guy at the end of Gareth's flashback was him. Did you notice in the last scene Morgan sees Rick's sign but it's now covered in vines - so time has passed, the cross sign was new - I wonder if Morgan's got more to his story before the eventual re-uniting. Is Morgan following someone following the group?

Sorry III, I should have spoiled the last part I guess but I didn't think it was too important, its not really, that part.

What issue are you on? 3rd book did you say? which is issues 25-32?

Scottie I'll spoiler to you

I TOTALLY saw the guy at the end of the episode who was in Gareths flashback when he was in the storage bin and IMMEDIATELY I thought, shit that could have been Negan...

However Gareth said they overtook the place back and that would put Negan down as someone who lost power already and thats not a great way to be introduced into the show

I cant see Gareth becoming Negan, no way no how just doesn't fit the role.

Have you seen the show The Strain, the rat catcher from that said he was offered the role of Negan.

I should think so, yeah. When he was shouting "I won't!" I was thinking, ok so you won't use the weapon so you're just going to beat him to death ?

Hmmmm im not so sure, why would he have a problem with Carol going in there otherwise? Unless he was ashamed of beating the guy to death. Great acting/role from that Martin character too, really made you want to see Tyresse do him in

Oh and I didnt notice that an amount of time had passed on screen between Rick writing on the sign and Morgan looking at it, was there that much a difference?

Gunna go back and have a look

Just rewatched it

There is a noticeable growth of vines, could be six months.

spoiler for Scottie

The more I look at that guy as well the more he looks like Negan.

trying to find a cap on the net to demonstrate but there isn't one - but yeah sometime has obviously passed - so I think Morgan is following Gareth who is making the signs - though those circles were on the blackboard of Clear, I'm gonna have to look again at the episode as I think Morgan said someone gave him his 'mission'

Morgan doesn't say anything does he? EDIT oh you mean in a previous ep

And clearing up the flashback and who that guy was.

Its been confirmed

The guy in the final flashback who orders the girl to be taken out and hits Gareth across the face and says no its not. He is the guy Rick and co let out the the storage unit with the long hair and rambling and then gets bit. So thats the end of that! Pretty cool and I'd have missed that if it wasn't for the fact it had to be confirmed due to the confusion.
