What has price of ticket and quality of band got to do with each other. The price is dictated by what they think the highest they can charge is and still sell out. Time will tell if they have it right but they are so popular I wouldnt be surprised.

Yes but kings of leon are more popular than either in the uk. If kol sell out then they have obviouslt chosen the right price. People may say that they are pricing some fans out however all big bands do the same.

Now I actually like KOL still, but the prices are quite ridiculous! £55 for a standing ticket is the same as U2 was last year and I'm a bit disapointed that they think they can get away with charging U2 prices after what is one large selling album. FFS Oasis, Muse and AC/DC arena prices were cheaper than that and like it or not they've been on the same standing for quite a while.

And I know what pinktriangle is saying, but just because they can charge as close to the Equilibrium price as they can, I didn't think they actually would and price fans out of it. Last tickets for AC/DC and Oasis arena tours were going for over £100 per ticket, but they didn't charge as high as they possibly could. Yet KOL do after over exposure caused by what is 2 songs.

I think Madonna was charging about £100 for tixs at the O2 and Man/Lady Gaga was charging £75 there too. I also remember Eagles charging a £1000 for tixs at the indigo2.

I never said that, I meant that they were going for over £100 on ebay. I.e they could have easily put the £40 face value of the ticket up and still sold out, but chose to keep ticket prices at a reasonable level.
